July MCPT Challenge

I made this card for the July MCPT challenge on the Cricut message board. I loved this image so much I went out and purchased the stamp! The only Cricut cut on this card is the tag under the sentiment. I cut the tag from the Stretch Your Imagination cartridge. I used Prisma pencils and mineral spirits to color the image. I added some stickles to the flower and glass and I attached skittles with some glue dots. The sentiment is from Stampin Up!.

June MCPT Challenge

This was made for the June MCPT Challenge on the Cricut message board. I gave it to my father-in-law for Father's Day. The font is from Plantin Schoolbook. The paper is from DCWV Animal Cracker's mat stack and I used a little stickles in the water and on the letters.

Turtle Birthday Card

This is a card that I made for my niece. I love this turtle from the Pooh and Friends Cricut cartridge. Here is what I used to create this card:

  • Pooh and Friends Cricut cartridge
  • Pooh Font Criscut cartridge
  • DCWV Nana's Kids mat stack
  • Color Box pigment ink ~ Brown
  • Martha Stuart pigment ink ~ spring green
I used Design Studio to weld all my cuts together on the shadow feature and then cut with my Cricut Expressions.

ZooBalloo Birthday Card

I made this for my nephew for his birthday. Here is what I used:

  • ZooBalloo Cricut cartridge
  • Design Studio
  • K&Co Classic K McKenna Mat Pad
  • K&Co Hopscotch Boy Mat Pad
  • Color Box pigment ink ~ Brown
I used the monkey , grass, and vine cuts. I don't remember the sizes as I used Design Studio to lay it all out. The sentiment on the out side is computer generated. It says, "Happy Birthday" on the inside which was also cut from ZooBallo0.

Thanksgiving Door Hanger

I made this door hanger for my partner in BOAB #2 on the Cricut message board. Her favorite holiday is Thanksgiving. Here is what I used:

Supplies:

  • Door hanger (I purchased mine from a local craft store)
  • acrylic paint ( I used brown, orange, gold, and cream)
  • paint brush
  • sponge
  • mod podge
  • foam brush
  • card stock
  • ribbon
  • Colorbox pigment ink in chestnut brown and brown
  • Cricut Design Studio
  • Cricut Pooh and Friends
  • Cricut Pooh Font

Step 1 - paint the door hanger using brown acrylic paint. I used 3 coats allowing to dry between each coat.

Step 2 - sponge paint using orange, gold, and cream paint; allow to dry.

Step 3 - Usinging Design Studio and Pooh Font cartridge, select marker font and type "Give Thanks" at 1 inch and weld the letters together. Type this again using marker shadow feature and weld these letters.

Step 4 - Cut these shapes from Pooh and Friends cartridge: basket cut @ 2 1/4 inches ( I cut off the apples), veggies cut @ 2 inches four times (1x in green, red, orange, and yellow), leaves cut @ 1 1/4 inches seven times ( 3x in brown, 1x in red, orange, and yellow), pumpkins cut @ 2 1/4 inches four times ( 1x in green, orange, light orange, yellow orange)

Step 5 - Use Colorbox chestnut brown ink to ink the basket and brown to ink the veggies, leaves, and pumpkins.

Step 6 - Coat the door hanger with Mod Podge, glue down all the Cricut cuts, then cover again with Mod Podge. ( I covered it 2 more times allowing it to dry after each coat) When dry I added the ribbon.
