A Time for Thankfulness

Happy Thanksgiving to all my wonderful crafty friends! I pray that this is a memorable Thanksgiving for you all and that you will remember to count your blessings today. I would like to share a few of mine with you.

First of all I am so thankful for my loving, gracious heavenly Father. He ransomed his Son for my soul and I can never get over what a sacrifice was made for me and all mankind. (John 3:16)

Secondly, I am thankful for a wonderful, loving husband that loves me even when I am not so lovable. He's my best friend and I could not imagine living my life without him. If you're looking, bud, I love you!

Thirdly, I am thankful for my beautiful children. They are each unique in their own special way. My children are not little any more but they are each growing into fine young men and women and for that I am grateful.

Fourth, there are so many other things I could list here but I want you, my followers, to know that I am thankful for you also. You say the most encouraging words and share such wonderful ideas. I have learned so much from you all. Thank you!

I will be out of town the next few days but will be back on Monday with a new FCCB challenge project. See you all then.

Good Morning!
Today’s Challenge Me Monday #37 over at Fantabulous Cricut Challenge Blog is to create something for which you are Thankful. I am so pleased to show you my project today. Blog Award

Elsa from Cricut Lvr!! passed on an award to me today. We are on the FCCB DT together and she does wonderful work. Make sure to check out her blog some time. Thank you, Elsa, for this award. I am so honored that you chose my blog.
Now, this award does come with some rules and I have to pay it forward:
  • 1. Thank and link back to the person who awarded you this
  • 2. Share 8 things about yourself
  • 3. Pay it forward to 8 bloggers that you have recently discovered
  • 4. Contact those bloggers and tell them about their awards

Here are 8 things about myself:
1. I have been happily married to my high school sweetheart for the last 23 years.
2. I got married 2 months after my high school graduation.
3. I accepted Jesus Christ as my personal Savior when I was 22 years old and am so happy I did!
4. I had an aunt that is only 2 years older than I. When we were teenages we would buy a box of Suzy Q's and a bag of Cheetos and eat all of it in one sitting. Now, I think that is so gross!
5. I never moved around as a child but when I got married I have moved around the world. (My DH was in the Air Force but is now retired)
6. I am only 4 foot 11 inches tall.
7. I have been so inspired by all you bloggers and am glad to be part of the crafty, blogging world.
8. I LOVE chocolate!
I would like to pass this award to the following:
This was very difficult for there are so many wonderful blogs out there. Thank you again Elsa!

It's Hello Thursday!

If you haven't heard yet ProvoCraft has just released 8 new cartridges. I am just posting one of my favorite but you can see more at Obsessed with Scrappingbooking. Joy has an awesome giveaway going on so you may want to check out her blog.

This Cricut Lite cartridge is the one that has peaked my interest the most.
I just love all the images on this cartridge. Now don't forget, you can only get Cricut Lite cartridges at Walmart. And, did you know that they are going be $20 on Black Friday?! I keep dropping hints to my family but I don't know if they are listening. LOL!
Any way hop over to Joy's blog and have a look.

Happy Thursday!

I don't have a project for you today but don't worry I have been in my craft room creating something that I am so excited to share with you. It is for the FCCB so you won't get to see it until Monday.

When I came up with the name for this blog it was so that my daughters and I could share our creations. At first they were so excited to do this. In fact, it was my daughter, Julia, that had wanted to start the blog. Since then and, to my sadness, they have decided that they really don't want to blog. I kept the name anyway because I still love to scrap with them. :)

Susanna is my 14 year old daughter and she caught the crafting bug this week. I asked her if it was ok to share her cards on my blog and she was ok with it. I think she did a great job. She really doesn't like to use the Cricut for her cards. She is more of a stamper. Without much further ado here are Susie's Cards:
Some of the items used:
  • Scrappy Moms Stamps ~ Winter Wishes
  • StampUp! stamps
  • Cuttlebug Embossing Folders
  • Martha Stewart Punches
  • Fiscars border punch
  • Ribbon
  • Brads
  • Glitter
  • Distress Ink
Thanks for stopping by! Happy Crafting!

You really don’t need to use your Cricut to make this box but I decided that I wanted to cut out a window in the shape of a circle. A circle punch can be used here but since I don't have many circle punches, out came my Gypsy.
We would love for you to join us at Fantabulous Cricut Challenge Blog. Pop on over and see what the other design team members have done. You will be inspired! Join us in the challenge this week. There are always great prizes to be won. Hope to see you all there!

A Christmas Surprise!

I wanted to share this ornament I made for the Peachy Keen Let's Face It Challenge #4. The challenge is to make an ornament using Peachy Keen Faces.
(It's a rainy day here in NC so my pictures are not as bright as I'd like them to be.)
I am also submitting this to My Creative Time with Emma. The Throwback Thursday Challenge is a Christmas theme of our choice. Pink Cricut is also doing a giveaway for some Peachy Keen Stamps and all you have to do is submit a project using Peach Keen Stamps or Post It craft paper.
Here are the details:

Cricut Cartridges ~ Create A Critter ~ wagon and gift, Paper Dolls for Everyday ~ girl, clothing, gift, dog, and I think tree. The tree may have come from Paper Doll Dress Up. I used my Gypsy to weld all the shapes together for the base of my ornament and then I cut out all the layers.
Peachy Keen Stamps ~ PK-754 Critter Faces, PK-532 Simple Sallies (this is one of my new sets I ordered :)
Ranger Distress Ink ~ Tea Dye
White Gelly Roll Pen
Ranger Glossy Accents ~ I used this on the dogs eyes and nose, and on the red ribbon on the gift
