I'm Fluffy!!

Hi Crafty Friends! Welcome to Luv Scrapping Together!

Today I have a card that I made for Peachy Keen's Let's Face It Friday challenge. The theme for this challenge is Furry Friends.

I happened to find a Four Legged Friends Cricut Lite cartridge at Walmart in the clearance that is going on with thier lites. I wasn't going to buy it but once I saw this cute hamster I decided that I just had to have it! :) And, I just had to use this sentiment again. It is from Scrappy Moms Stamps newest release Raining Cats and Dogs.

Here are the details:
Sugar and Spice Cricut Lite ~ card base welded in my Gypsy
Four Legged Friends Cricut Lite ~ Hamster; I hid the face using the hide contour feature in my Gypsy
Peachy Keen Stamps ~ PK-642 Boy Mates Face Assortment
Scrappy Moms Stamps ~ Raining Cats and Dogs
Patterned Paper ~ jilli bean soup Dutch Mustard; I purchase this paper stack from Shop Pumpkin Spice. The prices are fabulous!
Ranger Glossy Accents
Ranger Distress Ink ~ Vintage Photo
Misc. ~ Ribbon, white gel pen, foam tape, atg

Pretty In Pink Baby Gift Set ~ Pink By Design Guest Spot

Hi there, Crafty Friends! Welcome to Luv Scrapping Together!

It's an exciting day for me because I am the featured guest designer on Pink Cricut today!

I have been holding on to this project for quite some time and am so glad to share it. Before I do, here is a little about me:

"My name is Saundra. I have been happily married to my high school sweetheart for 24 years. We have 4 beautiful children. I have always been crafty and have tried various hobbies. I got into paper crafting about 2 years ago when I purchased my Cricut Expression to use in my classroom. I thought it would be a great tool to use for my bulletin boards and decorations. Since then I have been hooked. I no longer teach in a classroom but that hasn't stopped me from using my Cricut. I love to blog and share what I have created as well as gain inspiration from all the wonderful crafty friends I have made around the world."
Now on to my project. I have created a baby gift set.

For my project I used New Arrival and accent Essentials Cricut cartridges. I stamped my card and box with Pink By Design ~ Baby Love set.

My card measures 4"x4". ( I had a close up of the card but something happened to it. )

The cardstock I used for this project comes from Bazzil and My Mind's Eye.

For my gift box I used one sheet of 12" x 12" piece of cardstock. There are many tutorials out there but if you would like to make this box you can view this youtube video.

I inked all my cuts and edges with Ranger Distress Ink in Brushed Corduroy and accented all my cuts with a white or black gel pen.

The baby's face is from Peachy Keen Stamps ~ Pk-547 Cutie Pie Face Assortment.
A few other items that were used to create this box were  Stickles in Worn Lipstick, ribbon, brads, buttons, foam tape and adhesive.

This is a great box and such a nice size to fill with baby items.

I hope you will visit Pink Cricut and check out all of Sarah's wonderful stamps and other crafty items. I am sure you will find something you just can't live without.

Thank you, Sarah, for this wonderful opportunity. I truly enjoyed making this project and using your stamps.

Happy Crafting!!

A Real Treat

Hello Crafty Friends! Welcome to Luv Scrapping Together!

Today's project is something I put together for the challenge over at My Craft Spot. Challenge #21 is Gift Bags / Boxes. I was thrilled when I found out that Kimberly extended the deadline for this challenge as I had a little time to play this weekend.
For my treat box I used an SVG file that I had purchased from SVG Cuts entitled Tied Surprise Gift Boxes. I used the flower box but got rid of the flower. I inked all of edges of my box in black.

I decided to use patterned paper from My Mind's Eye Black Bird collection. I purchased this from Shop Pumpkin Spice. I highly recommend this online store as the prices are fabulous and shipping is very reasonable.

I trimmed the box in My Craft Spot's gorgeous Crinkle Ribbon. I used Candied Orange and inked it with black ink to go with the look of the paper. I, also, used Midnight Black to tie my box. Kimberly's Crinkle Ribbon is absolutely gorgeous and I love working with it.

For my cuts, I used the spider web from Mini Monsters and removed the spider. I inked the edges and applied Ranger Glossy Accents. My spider came from Paper Doll Dress Up. I hid the face using my Gypsy. I stamped his face with Peachy Keen Stamps ~ PK-692 Monster Mash Face Assortment.

Since I was stamping on black cardstock I decided to heat emboss the face with black embossing powder to help it stand out. This is a little trick I learned from Kimberly at My Craft Spot. :) I used my white gel pen to fill in the eyes. I then attached my spider to the web with a little white thread and popped him up with some foam tape.

My sentiment comes from Scrappy Moms Stamps ( my favorite! ). It is from the "A Haunting We Will Go" set. I heat embossed the sentiment in black, also. I love how it turned out.

I added a little brad from Studio G and my little gift box was complete!

I hope you will come back. On Wednesday I have a special project to share with you. I am the guest designer on Pink By Design!

Thanks for stopping and Happy Crafting!!

Scrappy Moms Stamps Blog Hop

Hello Crafty Friends! Welcome to Luv Scrapping Together!

Today I am so excited because I am the August Guest Designer for Scrappy Moms Stamps and I get to show you the first project I have made with Scrappy Moms Stamps August release! Scrappy Moms is releasing 2 new sets of stamps this month.

To celebrate the release Scrappy Moms Stamps is having a blog hop!

The theme of this hop is Back to School and all of the designers have created a project with that in mind. Everyone will be using Scrappy Moms new set called School Days.

If you have arrived from the wonderfully creative Lauren from Lauren's Creative, then you are in the right place. If you just happened upon my blog and would like to start at the beginning then head on over to Scrappy Moms Stamps.

For my project I found this cute SVG file from SVG Attic and just had to use it.

Wouldn't these be fun for a school party or Teacher Appreciation Day!

I used 3 of the stamps from Scrappy Moms Stamps School Days. I heat embossed the sentiment in white for the chalkboard. I also heat embossed my apple in black. For the school house, I used the sentiment, Teachers have Class, but I only stamped part of the sentiment to get it placed exactly where I wanted it. I did this by using scotch taped over the part of the stamps I didn't want to use, inked my stamp, and then removed the tape before I stamped it on my cardstock. I had to do this 3 times so that I could put each part of my sentiment where I wanted it. I did some doodling with my gel pen and that was it. The best part was that I did n't have to make the cupcakes because my sweet daughter want to do it. :) They are lemon, my husband's favorite.

Before you go you will want to leave a comment because Scrappy Moms Stamps will be choosing one commentor who will receive a stamp set of thier choice. If you leave a comment on all of the designers blogs along with a comment on Scrappy Moms Stamps blog you will have 14 chances to win! Who doesn't love free stamps, right?

Not only is Scrappy Moms Stamps giving away a prize but I am also giving away some blog candy.

How about a Birthday Bash Cricut Cartridge?

Here is how you can win:

1. Be a follower of my blog.
2. Leave a comment with a way for me to contact you if you win.

For more chances to win just leave a comment on all my Scrappy Moms posts over the next 4 days. That will give you a total of 5 chances to win this cartridge! I will use random .org to choose the winner and announce it next Friday, August 19th.

Don't Be Blue

Hello Crafty Friends,

Today I am excited to share with you a card that I have created using a brand new stamp from a brand new stamp designer. Barb from BugBites has just created her very first set of stamps and asked me, along with some very talented ladies, to create a few projects with them. She is displaying all the projects on her blog.

I am sharing my first project with you today. The stamp set I am using is called "All Year Round." It features sentiments for many special holidays along with everyday sentiments. They stamp beautifully, too!

When I saw this sentiment the first thing I thought of was Eeyore from Winnie the Pooh. So, I had to use him.

The Pooh and Friends Cricut cartridge was one of the first cartridges I ever bought and it has a lot of cute images with a lot of extras, too. But, I had never cut out Eeyore. I knew there were going to be some small pieces so I cut him out at 3.75 inches. I also decided to use the butterfly from this cartridge. It is probably my favorite butterfly and I have used it many times.

Here is what was used to create this 4.25 x 5.5 inch card:
Pooh and Friends Cricut cartridge
Bug Bites Stamps ~ "All Year Round"
My Mind's Eye cardstck ~ Summer Song and Penny Lane
Fiscars edge punch
Stardust Stickles
Ranger Glossy Accents
Foam tape, black and white gel pens, ATG

Now, before you go I want you to know that Barb has been have sneak peeks on her blog since Monday, August 1st. AND, if you go over there and leave a comment on all of her posts from Monday through Sunday, August 7th,  you will have 7 chances to win one of the new sets of stamps. Not only will one person win but seven lucky crafters will win! She will draw the winners are August 8th.

So hurry on over to BugBites and check out all the fantastic projects for this release party!

Thanks for stopping by!

Summer Fun "Guest Designer" Wednesday

Hello Crafty Friends! Welcome to Luv Scrapping Together!

I am absolutely thrilled to be this week's Summer Fun "Guest Designer" at September Ninth. I have been following Ruthie's blog for quite some time and I am always inspired to create when I visit. She is a real sweetheart and is always sharing her creativity. Another thing that happens to me when I visit is I frequently purchase the cute SVG files that she is always using to create. She is such an enabler!! :)

When I think of summer I think of the sun and fun. With that in mind, I thought it would be fun to put together a layout with a Luau type theme. Now, I haven't been to a Luau recently and have no pictures for this layout but it will be ready when I do. :) Besides, I just had to use these lanterns!

These lanterns are from an svg file called Luau. It can be purchased from SVGAttic. It has more than lanterns in the set and just so you can see, here is the rest of the layout!

The frame, torch, and flowers all came from that same set. I also used Life is a Beach Cricut cartridge for my hula girl and title. The font on this cartridge does not have a shadow so I just off-set the letters to create a bit of a shadow. Here is a closer view of the title:

And here is a close up of my little hula girl:

Isn't she sweet! I just love my Peachy Keen face stamps. I used PK-560 Dolly Dumplins face assortment.

Here is a few more details:

All of my cuts were inked with Ranger distress ink in Brushed Corduroy. I used a Stampin Up! punch for my edges on my patterned paper. I forgot to check who designed my patterned paper but it was from Joann's open stock. I added a little gem to my hula girl's flower in her hair and used orange Stickles for the centers on her lei. I did have to do a little doodling with my white gel pen. :) I used foam tape to pop up the lanterns, bambo frame and my hula girl. I also added some dark brown twine for my hanging lanterns.

I hope you like it! It was so much fun to put together!

I want to thank Ruthie for having me as a guest designer!

Please visit her bog, September Ninth. You will be inspired!

Happy Crafting!
