Birthday Fishes!

Hi There! Welcome to Luv Scrapping Together!

I wanted to share a card that I created for the Pumpkin Spice Challenge. This week's challenge is Blue, White, and something Round.

For my card I wanted to use my new Paper Smooches stamps that I received from Shop Pumpkin Spice. This was the first time ever using Paper Smooches and I have to say, I LOVE THEM!

The set I am using is called "Birthday Buddies."

I started with a kraft card base then layered another kraft layer. I inked both layers with Ranger Distress Ink in Tea Dye.

I cut circles in several different sizes and embossed my white circle with the Cuttlebug Tiny Bubbles embossing folder.

My center circle was layered on a rosette the I created with the Tim Holtz Sizzix Sizzlits Die - Paper Rosettes. This is about $6.00 cheaper at Shop Pumpkin Spice compared to my local craft stores!

I stamped my fish on some patterned paper from Echo Park and added a googly eye. I stamped the bubbles that come with the PS set and then added gems.

My sentiment is also from the same Paper Smooches set. You can see all the Paper Smooches Stamps that are available at Shop Pumpkin Spice HERE.

I used a sketch from Deconstructing Jen.

Come check out the challenge on the Pumpkin Spice Blog. There is a brand new challenge every Saturday and runs from Saturday to the following Friday. We would love for you to join us!

I am adding this card to the following challenges:

A Thank You ~ SPS Inspiration

Hi there! Welcome to Luv Scrapping Together!

Today I am sharing some inspiration on my blog and on the Pumpkin Spice Blog.

My project features items that can be purchased at Shop Pumpkin Spice.

I've created this cute thank you card.

For my card, I used these beautiful papers from My Mind's Eye The Sweetest Thing "Tangerine" 6x6 paper pad. These papers are just beautiful.

I based my design on this Deconstucted Sketch

This cute little image is from Tiddly Inks Happy Mail set. I colored Wren with my Copic Markers and paper pieced her dress.

I inked all my edges with Ranger Distress Ink in Tea Dye. The butterflies were punched from that same MME paper pad using a Martha Stewart punch. I added some pearls that I had in my stash.

I attached my sentiment with My Mind's Eye The Sweetest Thing "Sunshine" decorative brads.

My sentiment is from My Pink Stampers Girlie Doodles set. It is still available for purchase and it's on sale!

I have had the Cup of Cocoa and Tea Set file from My Scrap Chick for a little while and thought it was time to cut it out.

This file is an SVG and I cut it using my SCAL software. It was really fast to put together. I used paper and twine that I got from Shop Pumpkin Spice. My sentiment is from Scrappy Moms Stamps.

This is a pocket card and it has a tag with plenty of room to write a messege or to add a gift tag. There is even room to add a packet of your favorite cocoa.

I love you to Pieces ~SMS January Release

Hi There! Welcome to Luv Scrapping Together!

I hope you all had a great weekend! Things are moving fast at my house with the big move so I am feeling a little overwelmed. I know that all will be well and that my Lord will get me through so, there is no need to worry.

Today I am sharing a card that I created with the new release from Scrappy Moms Stamps.

I really love this card!. I used real puzzle pieces to create my heart. I just took an old puzzle and painted some of the pieces with acrylic paint. It look several coats. Once dry, my pieces looked a little dull so I covered them with Ranger Glossy Accents.

I cut  a heart from Gypsy Wanderings so that I had a template to follow and I glued and layered my pieced down. I added some crinkle ribbon and topped it with a Prima flower.

My patterned paper is from Authentique Lovely Collection. I added some flat backed pearls to the corners and that was it!

Here is a close up:

My tag was hand cut and I stamped with Scrappy Moms Stamps "With All of My Heart" set.

Here is a look at the other set that Scrappy Moms Stamps is releasing, "2 Thumbs Up!"

Both of these sets are in stock and shipping. Hurry over to Scrappy Moms Stamps to get yours!

Because I Love You ~ SMS January Release

Hi There! Welcome to Luv Scrapping Together!

It's Saturday! What do you have planned? Me? I am working ahead on projects as I will be moving in 2 weeks! Yikes! I have so much to do! I'm excited, though, and can't wait to live near family again. Ok, I'll quit rambling. :)

Today I have another card that I created with the new Scrappy Moms Stamps January Release. The 2 sets that are being release are super fun.

I created this card completely from scraps.

I started with a a pied of Kraft paper that I had in my scrap bin. It was already cut at 4"x8" so I went with it and scored it so it would measure 4" x 4". I ran another piece of Kraft through the Cuttlebug with a Sizzix heart embossing folder and layered that on my card base with some foam tape.

My paper is from last years Doodlebug 12 x 12  kit called "Sweet Cakes." I used scraps and my Fiscars scallop punch to add some color to the card. The hearts were extras from another cut I had made earlier in the week and they were perfect for this card. I added a little bit of glue to the edges and adhered some Marth Stewert glitter to them.

I finished the card off with some ribbon and stamp my sentiment from Scrappy Moms Stamps "With All Of My Heart!" set.

Have a look at the new stamps:

Aren't they fabulous!

Both of these sets are in stock and ready to ship!

Hurry over to Scrappy Moms Stamps to get yours!

Have a great weekend!

Until next time...

I am adding this card to:

Out of the Box! ~ with Scrappy Moms Stamps

Hi there! Welcome to Luv Scrapping Together!

It's time for a new Terrific Tuesday Challenge at Scrappy Moms Stamps!

This week's challenge is "Out of the Box!" Create a box and include a ScrappyMoms Stamp.

For my project I created a Valentine Treat Box.

I created this box using the Life's A Party Cricut cartridge. I cut the box at 8 inches. This box is super easy to put together and I can see making these for a group.

I tied my box closed with some white tulle that I had on hand.

My sentiment is from Scrappy Moms Stamps "Dancing In Circles!" set.

I just used the words and not the stitching. I just used a baby wipe and carefully took away the stitching.
I cut my sentiment with a 1.5" cicle punch and layered it on a 1.75" scallop punch.
I added a heart button to the center and popped the sentiment up with foam tape.

I hope you will join us in the "Out of the Box" challenge.

Head on over to Scrappy Moms Stamps to see what all of the designers have created and then join us for your chance to win a Scrappy Moms Stamp set of your choice.

Thanks for stopping today!

Until next time...
Happy Crafting!

You're So Cool!

Hi There! Welcome to Luv Scrapping Together!

I hope you all had a great weekend! Today I am sharing a card that I created for the new challenge on the Pumpkin Spice Blog.

This week's theme is Snowman/Snowmen/Snowperson/Snowpeople!

I created this shaped card using the Elegant Edges Cricut cartridge. My patterned paper is from Carta Bella's Winter Fun. Just so you know, Shop Pumpkin Spice has the best prices on the 6x6 pads!

My snowman is from Peachy Keen Stamps PK-147 Skatin' By.  I colored my snowman with Copic Markers and paper pieced him. I added a pom pom to his hat.

I stamped my sentiment from Robin's Creative Cottage's "Snowman's Prayer." This set is now discontinued. I hand cut my tag and layered it on some kraft cardstock.

I used a Martha Stewart snowflake punch and added to the top on my crinckle ribbon. All of the gems were in my stash.

I ran my background paper through my Cuttlebug and the Snowflake embossing folder. I tried the get a picture so that you could see the texture.

And here is a close up of that cute little snowman!

We would love for you to join us in the Pumpkin Spice Challenges.

Thinking of You!

Hi There! Welcome to Luv Scrapping Together!

Today I have a card to share that has taken me 3 days to complete! Why three days? Well this is the first time I have ever colored fur so my first attempt did go so well and in the trash it went. :/

Then, I decided to give it another try. It still needs a little work but I like this one much better. :)

This cute little bear is from the newly released add-on sets from Peachy Keen Stamps PK-159 Thinking of You Bear. Isn't he cute! The sentiment is from this set also.

I colored my bear with Copic markers and paper-pieced the heart. I added some Ranger Glossy accents to his eyes and nose for some shine.

I used the following sketch from the deconstructed Sketch blog.

Here is my supply list:

A little Male Inspiration

Hi There! Welcome to Luv Scrapping Together!

Today I am sharing a card that was requested by my son. He told me, "Mom, you make good stuff." How could I not make him a card aft that! :)

My son asked me to make a thank you card for a co-worker that took care of him while he was having oral surgery. My son is in the military so mom couldn't be there to take care of him. :(

His co-worker is a man so I set out to make a male thank you card.

I used the patterned paper that I got from Shop Pumpkin Spice as my inspiration for this card. The patterned paper is from Echo Park's A Boy's Life. This is an older paper pack and is no longer available but there is so much to see at Shop Pumpkin Spice and the prices are fabulous!

My card base is 4.25" x 5.5". I ran the kraft paper through my paper crimper and inked it up with some Ranger Distress Ink in Vintage Photo.

I layered two patterned pieces on that. I created the gear shaped using my Gypsy and the Accent Essentials Cricut cartridge. I just found a shape that looked close to the one in my top piece of patterned paper sized it to the size I wanted. Using the same shape in a smaller size, centered it inthe larger shape and cut. All of my pieces were inked with the same Vintage Photo ink.

I added another crimped piece of kraft to the center and layered another patterned paper on that. To finish off my card I added some jute.

My sentiment comes from Scrappy Moms Stamps "Everyday Greetings" set.

Here is the inside of the card:

I am linking this up to the following challenges:
The Kraft Journal ~ Crimp or Fold.
Pumpkin Spice ~ New Year ( I used a new technique for me )

There is still time to play in the current Pumpkin Spice Challenge. The theme is New Year. Please be patient with the Pumpkin Spice Blog. It does take a bit to load.

Come back tomorrow to see the rest of the 2013 calendar I have created! If you missed my first post, you can see it HERE.

Thank you for stopping!
Until next time...

I Wub You ~ Peachy Keen Stamps Feature

Hi there! Welcome to Luv Scrapping Together!

I am excited today because I get to share my card here and on the Peachy Keen Blog! I look forward to another fabulous Peachy Keen year!

I am sure you have seen the chalkboard cards that are circling the web. Well, I just had to try one!

My cardstock has a little sheen to it so getting a picture was a little difficult.

To create this card, I used the brand new released January 2013 Stamp of the Month. I started with this cutie patootie teddy bear and then randomly chose several stamps to stamp around the image. Pigment ink seemed to work best with this and I really liked the way it turned out. I started with white pigment ink and then used some pink pigment ink for some added color.

For a little more detail, I colored in the little bears ears and heart with a colored pencil.

These new stamps are available for purchase in the Peachy Keen Store now!
Check them out!

Other items used:
doodlebug designs inc "sweet cakes"
ribbom from my stash

Check out the Peachy Keen Blog for inspiration and don't forget about the challenge on the Peachy Keen Connection!
