Snowman Gift Box with My Scrap Chick

Hi there! Welcome to Luv Scrapping Together!

Today I am sharing a project that I created using a files from My Scrap Chick.

I started a new job 2 weeks ago and my crafting time has been not as easy to come by so my postings may be a little less than normal until I adjust to my new schedule. I did manage to work on this project a little everyday this past week and I really love the way it turned out.

To create my snowman, I used the Creepy Crawlers Trio. I sized each octagon box using Silhouette Designers Studio and made each box approximately 1/2 inch smaller than the other. I, also, sized the edge of each spider box lid just slightly smaller so it would fit inside each box bottom. Before I put my boxes together I ran them through my Cuttlebug with the D'Vine Swirls embossing folder. I added a bit of blue ink to the embossing and then put my boxes together.

My snowman's face is from Peachy Keen Stamps PK-548 1 1/4" Snow Faces. I colored in his nose with Copic markers. A circle was added to create his hat brim. I embellished his hat with some crinkle ribbon, jingle bells, some punched greenery, and some bits and pieces from a floral pick. I gave him a red felt scarf and some buttons and embellished him further with some coarse glitter here and there to give him a frozen effect.

Each part of the snowman opens to tuck some candies or a gift inside. He would look wonderful as part of a winter display, too.

Check out My Scrap Chick to see all the fun files that are carried. You can make them as is or use your imagination to create something different by combining files.

Thank you for joining me today.

Until next time...
Happy Crafting!!

Hello ~ Scrappy Moms Stamps November Release

Hi there!! Welcome to Luv Scrapping Together!

I hope you all had a great weekend. Mine was busy and I really didn't have much free time to play in my craft room but I did manage to put this quick card together.

To create card I used the Hello stamp from Scrappy Moms Stamps newest release "Just Sayin'." I stamped it repeatedly on a piece of white cardstock using Momento Tuxedo Black ink.

My sewing machine was set up with black thread so I decided to add some stitiching around the edge. It's a little wonky. Going around curves on paper is not easy!!

I added some pink ribbon and a bow then I used the MFT Say What? dies that Scrappy Moms Stamps now carries and stamped Hello in pink. I popped that with some foam tape.

Like a said super fast and now I have a card to grab that is good for a little pick me up.

If you haven't gotten your hands on the the new stamps and dies yet then head on over to Scrappy Moms Stamps!

Here is a look at the new sets:

Be sure to check out what my fellow designers have created and don't forget to leave some love on our guest designers blog: Scrappin' Dilly

That's it for me today.

I'll be back tomorrow with a brand new SMS Terrific Tuesday Challenge project.

Until then....
Happy Crafting!!

Nature's Beauty ~ Peachy Keen Stamps Inspiration

Hi there! Welcome to Luv Scrapping Together!

To see the new releases from Scrappy Moms Stamps click HERE

Today I am the featured designer over on the Peachy Keen Stamps Blog and here is what I am sharing.

I thought I would get in one last autumn card before the Christmas frenzy begins. We have snow on the ground right now so I know that this is it!

I was a little stumped so I got out my Distress inks and starting blending several colors together. The background I created was perfect for stamping the leaf from PK-1340 Clearly Autumn Quart Jar Contents. The colors I used are: Brushed Corduroy, Aged Mahogany, Wild Honey, Crushed Olive, and Squeezed Lemonade. After blending I sprayed it with water from my mini mister and hit with my heat gun. I wanted to keep it simple so I cut a scallop shape and square with my Cameo Silhouette and stamped my sentiment which is included in the Clearly Autumn set.

Some twine and an inked button and the card was complete!

Try playing with some ink and see what you can create!

Here is the Peachy Keen Stamp set I used:

Gobble til You Wobble ~ Inspiration with My Scrap Chick

Hi There! Welcome to Luv Scrapping Together!

Today I have a cute little project that I created using cut files from My Scrap Chick.

During the month of November the My Scrap Chick designers are featuring projects that could be given as gifts or used from gift giving.

With that in mind, I made a fun turkey treat box.

To create this gift box I combined 2 cut files from My Scrap Chick. I used the turkey from the Fall Treat Boxes file and a box from the Creepy Crawlers Trio file. Now you are probably thinking, Why did I just used the box that comes in the Fall Treat Box file? Well, the reason I chose to used a different box was because I wanted something that would be closed all the way around.

I chose some pretty patterned papers from DCWV for my turkey's feathers. I added eyes from Peachy Keen Stamps PK-294 The Cornies 1 1/8th set and my sentiment is from Scrappy Moms Stamps "A Holiday to Remember." I bit of twine and some doodling and my turkey was complete.

Here is a slight side view so you can see the box I used.

I was thinking that you could use one of the Pavor Favor Box files for this, too. My Scrap Chick has a lot of different files to offer and I love that you can combine them to make something different.

For more inspiration, be sure to check out the My Scrap Chick Facebook Page.

My sentiment is from Scrappy Moms Stamps "A Holiday to Remember" set.

Say Freeze! ~ Peachy Keen Stamps November Sneak Peek

Hi There! Welcome to Luv Scrapping Together!

Tonight is the last night of the Peachy Keen Stamps sneak peeks! Tomorrow all will be revealed but until then I have another card for you.

I love this fun card! I used one of the add-on sets for the cutie. The cute little snow girl, camera, and sentiment come from the new PK-1346 Picture Snow Day. Because I wanted to use the camera I decided to create a Polaroid frame in my Silhouette software. After I cut it out I stamped it with the new PK-1343 Cable Knit background stamp. The heart on the camera is from PKSC-23 November 2013. I added some stitching with my sewing machine, tied some MME Baker's Twine and added a snowflake brad from my stash.

All my papers are from MME Merry paper pad.

The reveal will be happening on Facebook beginning tomorrow, November 5th. Be on the lookout throughout the day. You can join in all the fun and find all the info HERE.

After the reveal the stamps will be on sale at 7:00 pm est. in the Peachy Keen Stamps Store

Thank you for joining me tonight.

A Special Couple ~ Peachy Keen Stamps November Sneak Peek

Hi There! Welcome to Luv Scrapping Together!

Have you been loving the Peachy Keen Stamps sneak peeks? Aren't they fabulous!!

Tonight I am sharing another peek featuring some of the add-on sets.

For this card, I used the cute snow couple from PK-1346 Picture Snow Day. I paper-pieced them and used my Copic markers to do a little shading. I added them to my background that was stamped with PK-1344 Wiggle Stitch background stamp. It may be hard to see in the photo but I heat embossed with some shimmery embossing powder. I created some snow by tearing some white cardstock and embossing it with the D'Vine Swirls Cuttlebug folder. Ribbon and a brad was added with a hand-cut tag. My sentiment comes from the new PK-1345 Putsen & Jud Snow Couple.

There are plenty of Peachy Peeks to be seen on the Peachy Keen Stamps website. You can find them HERE.

Also, you don't want to miss the Peachy Keen Stamps November Release Party that will be happening on Tuesday, November 5th. The party will be on Facebook and you can find all the details HERE. The new stamps will be up for sale that same evening at 7:00 pm est. in the Peachy Keen Store.
