Christmas In July ~ Challenge Me Monday # 19

This is my submission for Challenge Me Monday #19 over at Fantabulous Cricut Challenge Blog. This week's challenge was to make a project with a Christmas in July theme. I decided to make a pedestal card. This card is an A2 (4 1/4 x 5 1/2) sized card.
This is what it looks like when it is ready to fit in an envelope.
This is what the card looks like when it is standing up. I just loved how this card truned out. If you get a chance, stop over at Fantabulous Cricut and participate in the challenge.
Thanks for stopping by,
Saundra :)
Recipe:

  • craft cardstock cut at 4 1/4 x 11 inches; scored at 5 1/2 inches and 2 1/2 inches.

  • patterned card stock ~ K&Company Peppermint Twist

  • Cartridge ~ Plantin Schoolbook ~ hearts cut in Roly Poly feature (sorry, I don't remember the sizes I used) I welded the three hearts using my Gypsy to form the tree, then I welded them onto a rectangle also from this cartridge. I cut a small rectangle for the tree trunk in brown cardstock.

  • Tim Holtz Distress Ink ~ Aged Mahogany ~ all cuts were inked in this

  • Pop dots ~ I layered the patterned paper hearts on each other just gluing the tips and pop dotted the bottoms on the top two hearts.

  • Sentiment was done on my computer

  • White Jelly Roll pen for stitching

  • Buttons

  • Glue dots
