Perk Up, Little Monster!

Hi there! I hope you all are having a good week! The weekend is almost here and we are all excited about that!!

Today I wanted to share a card just for fun!! Imagine that! Sometimes you can get bogged down with obligations that you forget to craft just for fun. Well, this card is a just for fun card.

After Christmas I was doing a little shopping on the JoAnn website and this little guy caught my eye. This is a stamp from Whipper Snapper Designs, Inc. called Monster Morning. I just thought he was the cutest and I couldn't resist putting him in my cart.

I stamped him on some watercolor cardstock and used my Zig Clean Color Real Brush Pens to color him up. My sweet daughter gave me these pens for Christmas and I have to say so far I am loving them!

After he was finished I cut him with Craftin Desert Divas Fancy Frame Dies. I added the scallop border from CDD Stitched Scallop Dies for a little more whimsy.

I just had to give him pink fuzzy slippers!! I paired him with a sentiment from CDD Got Coffee stamps.

I don't know if you are able to tell but I added a bit of clear Wink of Stella to finish him off.

I'm hoping to get in a bit more of coloring time soon. I have a bunch of stamps that need a little love!

Here is what I created..

For my shaped card I started by creating a base made with the CDD Stitched Scallop Dies. I created a mask with some acetate so that I could do the inking in the background with some Ranger Distress Ink in Tumbled Glass. My ground was created using the CDD Outdoor Landscape Dies. I inked the ground with Peeled Paint and Mowed Lawn.

I colored the bird house from Home Sweet Home, the bird from Hippo Birdie, and the butterfly from Koala-fied with Copic Markers. A few white gel pen accents and a bit of sparkle on the butterfly wings and this one layer card is complete!

Craftin Desert Divas January Release Blog Hop

Here's what I've created for you...

For this first card, I used the new Heart of Heart Die and the new mini Moose stamp. I first cut my panel with the Heart of Heart Dies then centered that in the CDD Fancy Frames Die. I watercolored the panel with Ranger Distress Ink in Candied Apple. The heart arrow is part of the Heart of Heart Die set and was cut out of glitter cardstock.

I did a little reverse stamping so that I could have my moose facing each other. They were both colored with Copic Markers.

For my second project I used the sweet little mouse from the new Sweet Kisses stamp set. I decided to make a tag for a gift bag. I started with CDD Banner Dies, layered some patterned paper, and topped it with a circle from CDD Stitched In Circles Dies.

After coloring the mouse with my Copic markers I decided top paper piece the heart and chef's hat. I added some watercolor to the circle panel before attaching the mouse. I added some sequins from the new CDD Sweetness Mix and an an arrow from the new CDD Heart of Heart Dies. For some added bling, I added some Black Diamond Stickles and Glossy Accents to the arrow,

You are Sweet ~ Craftin Desert Divas January Sneak Peek Day 4

Today is Day 4 of the sneak peeks for the January release at Craftin Desert Divas

We have 3 stamp sets, 4 mini stamps, 6 new sequin mixes and 2 new die sets that will be available in the shop starting this Friday! Today we are showcasing Sweet Kisses and our mini stamp: Scent.

I have created a card using the new Sweet Kisses stamps and the new Fancy Stitched Labels Dies.

I received a set of Zig Clean Color Brush pens for Christmas and this was the first time using them. I thought the cake image from the Sweet Kisses set was perfect and I really love the way it came out. I stamped the image on watercolor paper and cut it out with the new Fancy Stitched Label Dies.

I don't know if you can see it but I topped the cake with some Glossy Accents.

To complete the card I added some ribbon.

I Moose You ~ Craftin Desert Divas January Sneak Peek

Today is the first day of Craftin Desert Divas January Sneak Peeks!

Craftin Desert Divas is releasing 3 stamp sets, 4 mini stamps, 6 new sequin mixes and 2 new die sets that will be available in the shop starting this Friday! Today we are showcasing Fancy Stitched Labels Dies, Heart of Heart Dies, and mini stamp Moose.

Here is what I created using today's featured sets:

I started with a panel that I cut with CDD Fancy Frame Dies. The panel was inked with Distress Inks in the following colors: Faded Jeans, Chipped Sapphire, Peeled Paint, and Mowed Lawn. Once I had everything inked I created a stencil using the new CDD Heart of Hearts Die. I put the stencil on top of the inked panel and removed some of the color so that you could see a bit of cloudy hearts.

The sentiment was heat embossed on the label from the new Fancy Stitched Labels Dies.

This cute little Moose was colored with Copic markers. I added some sequins that can be found at Craftin Desert Divas and made the card complete.

Here is what I created..

This card is the first card I have made in well over a month! It took me a while to get in the groove but it finally came together. I started by creating a background using Tim Holtz Holiday Knit stencil and embossing paste. My card base was white but I wanted to add some blue to one side to match the sky I had created behind the bear. I added my embossed sheet to the base but pushed it to one side and I added some Baker's Twine.

I chose the cute bear from CDD Chilly stamp set and colored him with Copic markers then fussy cut him out. The circle was cut from CDD Stitched In Circle Dies and sponged with some Distress Ink to create a sky. White gel pen dots were added to the sky, as well as some Heidi Swap snow. This was actually glued to the bottom of the circle as well as random places on the background. I added a sentiment from CDD Deer Friends set and called it complete!

Hi there! Today I am sharing  a Valentine card here and on the Craftin Desert Divas Blog.  It features a few Craftin Desert Divas products.

I love creating backgrounds with Ranger Distress Inks so that is where I started when creating this card. I used Mustard Seed, Worn Lipstick, and Festive Berries on my background. Once dry, I cut out my panel with CDD Fancy Frame Dies. This is one of my favorite dies. I use it all the time! 

I stamped several envelopes from CDD Sending Love set and colored them a bit with Copic Markers then arranged them where I wanted them on my panel. My sentiment is from this very same stamp set. It was eat embossed with white embossing powder on black cardstock. I cut it out with a die from CDD Pocket Pieces Hello Dies.

For a finishing touch I added crated some random dots using Ranger Glossy accents.

I love the way this card turned out and I hope you do too!
