Watercolor Valentine ~ Craftin Desert Divas

Hi there!  Today I have a card that made for Craftin Desert Divas February Social Media Challenge.

This month's mood board is all about Valentines, reds, and some wintery elements.

I chose the hearts as my inspiration.

For my card I started by stamping the heart from CDD Sending Love stamps. I added the I Heart U stamp to fill in some of the white space.  I colored in my hearts with Zig Real Clean Color Brush Pens. I was going for a bit of red color but it came out pink so I went with it.

I cut the background with the CDD Fancy Frame Dies and popped it up with some fun foam onto my black panel. My sentiment was heat embossed on a flag banner from from CDD Flag Banner Dies.

A few splatters of watercolor and the card was finished.

You have the whole month of February to participate in the challenge. Just head on over the the Craftin Divas Gallery on Facebook for all the details!

I added a sentiment from the Wishful Thoughts stamps and die cut my panel with CDD Fancy Frames Dies. My card was finish when I added the new CDD Crystal Sequins.

Craftin Desert Divas June Release Showcase

Hi There!

As you may know by now Craftin Desert Divas did things in reverse with our release this month and we did the blog hop first. And, instead of sneak peeks we are showcasing the new stamps throughout this week. So, this is day 3!

Today the focus is on the new Greeting Word Dies and Tiny Sentiments Stamps.

I happening to LOVE these sets!! They work perfectly together and the Tiny Sentiments work great with the word dies: Wishful Thoughts.

Here is the card I made for today's featured products...

To create this card I first started with the outline image from the Botanical Layers stamp set. I heat embossed the images in white embossing powder and water colored them with my Zig Clean Color Real Brush Pens. I really love these pens! It's is so fun coloring with them!!

After the coloring dried I spayed my flowers with some Sparkle Spritz spray. I really wish the pictures picked up on that for you. It is quite pretty!

I cut out my flowers and added them to a frame that was cut with the Picture Frame Dies and the Mix It Up Dies. The frame was embossed with an old Cuttlebug embossing folder.

For the layer underneath, I sponged on some Distress Inks: Spun Sugar, Squeezed Lemonade, and Tumbled Glass. I added some water droplets, then splattered it with some white and black ink.

I still wanted a softer look so I layered a piece of vellum on top.

I stacked a few of the Greeting Word Dies together and water colored it with my Zigs. I chose a sentiment from Tiny Sentiments and heat embossed it in black.

A few touches with a white gel pen and some Glossy Accents here and there and my card was complete!

There is a Facebook Inspiration Hop going on right now. If you would like a chance to with some Craftin Desert Divas store credit head on over to Facebook!

That's it for me today!

Have a good one!!

Just A Note ~ CDD Inspiration

Happy Over the Hump Day! Today I am sharing this water colored note card over on the Craftin Desert Divas Blog.

I am definitely into the water color craze and can't seem to stop with all the water coloring! I used Distress markers for my color medium on this card and water colored this pretty image from CDD Home Sweet Home set. Once colored I cut it out and mounted it on fun foam and layered it on a scallop circle from the Stitched in Circles Dies.

The sentiment I chose is from the CDD Happy Thoughts set. I punched the sentiment out with a circle punch and layered it on a couple of tags from the CDD Mix It Up Dies

The card was finished off with a few dots from my gel pen and a little jute twine!

Thanks for joining me today.

This is what I created:

For my card, I started by stamping the cake from the CDD Sweet Kisses stamp set in Versamark ink and heat embossed it in white embossing powder. Once cooled, I used Distress Inks in Peacock Feathers, Squeezed Lemonade, and Festive Berries to water color the background. This panel was then cut with the CDD Fancy Frame Dies. I added a layer of vellum on top of my panel to tone down the color a bit. Before layering it, I added my sentiments from CDD Wishful Thoughts stamps and the "sweet'" sentiment from CDD Baked with Love set. This was stamped in Onyx Black Versa Fine ink and heat embossed with clear embossing powder.

I stamped the cute mouse image from the Sweet Kisses stamps and water colored her with the same Distress Inks that I colored my panel. I, then, cut the image out with a dies from the Pocket Pieced Hi Dies from Craftin Desert Divas.

I've been on a water color kick for a while and have really been enjoying it so there may be more to come in the future!!

I hope you will join in the fun and link up your "Foodie" project! I can't wait to see what you create! You can link up your creation on the CDD Blog!

Reach for the Stars ~ Craftin Desert Divas May Sneak Peek

Hello friends! Today I am sharing a sneak peek of the new stamps and dies from Craftin Desert Divas.

There is a Facebook Hop happening right now and if you participate you have a chance of winning today's featured stamps! You can join us by clicking HERE.

This card was a lot of fun for me to create. I have been playing with my Zig Clean Color Brush pens a bit more lately and I really am enjoying water coloring with them!

I began by creating a background for my images. I got inky but it was a lot of fun. I used Distress Inks in the following order beginning from the bottom: Walnut Stain, Rusty Hinge, Wild Honey, Scattered Straw, and Broken China. After I was happy with the blending I sprinkled it with a few droplets of water. The panel was then die cut with CDD Fancy Frame Dies

I water colored my images with my Zig pens and used a white gel pen to add some detail. These images are from the new CDD Prickly stamps

My sentiment is from the new CDD This and That stamps. I added my sentiment to one of the new CDD Flag Banner Dies. The Misti makes placement so easy. As you can see I inked the banner with Distress Ink to match my background.

These new stamps and dies will be available Friday in the Craftin Desert Divas Shop.

I hope you will join us for the May Release Blog Hop. It is a 2 day hop that begins Friday, May 14th. The design team has been creating some fabulous projects with this release and we can't wait to share them with you. You won't want to miss out on prizes either so, please join us!

Have a great day, my friends!!

Craftin Desert Divas January Release Blog Hop

Welcome to the CDD January Stamp & Die Release Blog Hop.
All stamps & Dies are in the CDD Shop and now available for purchase HERE.

Here's what I've created for you...

For this first card, I used the new Heart of Heart Die and the new mini Moose stamp. I first cut my panel with the Heart of Heart Dies then centered that in the CDD Fancy Frames Die. I watercolored the panel with Ranger Distress Ink in Candied Apple. The heart arrow is part of the Heart of Heart Die set and was cut out of glitter cardstock.

I did a little reverse stamping so that I could have my moose facing each other. They were both colored with Copic Markers.

For my second project I used the sweet little mouse from the new Sweet Kisses stamp set. I decided to make a tag for a gift bag. I started with CDD Banner Dies, layered some patterned paper, and topped it with a circle from CDD Stitched In Circles Dies.

After coloring the mouse with my Copic markers I decided top paper piece the heart and chef's hat. I added some watercolor to the circle panel before attaching the mouse. I added some sequins from the new CDD Sweetness Mix and an an arrow from the new CDD Heart of Heart Dies. For some added bling, I added some Black Diamond Stickles and Glossy Accents to the arrow,
