Thank You Indie Chic! ~ Shop Pumpkin Spice Inspiration

Hi There and Welcome to Luv Scrapping Together!

Today is my day to provide inspiration on the Pumpkin Spice Blog and I am thrilled to share my card with you!

I'm sure many of you have seen the My Mind's Eye "Indie Chic" papers. I just received mine a few days ago and I am loving the rich, beautiful prints in this 6x6 pad. What's wonderful about My Mind's Eye is that they create wonderful embellishments to go with their paper lines. I used several on this card.

The flowers on here are handmade by me. I had fun picking out the papers to make them but, Boy, were my fingers sore afterward! It was worth it, though. I love the way they turned out.

Remember, Shop Pumpkin Spice carries the newest lines of designer paper and most importantly it is always 30% off retail or more. We all love that, don't we?

Here are the items I used and can be found at Shop Pumpkin Spice:

My Mind's Eye Indie Chic ~ Ginger "Adventure" Decorative Brads
My Mind's Eye Indie Chic ~ Ginger "Direction" Decorative Buttons
Other items used:

Cindy Loo Cricut Cartridge ~ flourish
Elegant Edges Cricut Cartridge ~ scallops for flower
Seam Binding from my stash

I hope you enjoyed my card today! Be sure to visit the Pumpkin Spice Blog Monday through Friday for lots of inspiration!

Until next time...

Sending Love ~ Shop Pumpkin Spice Blog Hop

Hi Everyone! Welcome to Luv Scrapping Together!

The designers for Shop Pumpkin Spice is having a Blog Hop. The theme for this hop is to create a sympathy card. We know it's a difficult task and we wanted to help you all a little.

You should have gotten here from Lezlye's blog: Ink and Paper Creations. If you just happened upon my blog then you will want to start from the beginning at the Pumpkin Spice Blog so as to not miss a thing.

I have to say that I have not had to make many sympathy cards so it took me some time to figure out what I wanted to do.

When I think of sympathy cards I think of soft soothing colors. That's why I turned to My Mind's Eye Stella and Rose "Hazel" 6x6 paper pad. This pad is filled with beautiful prints in soft colors. All the printed card stock is from this pad.

I used a sentiment from the new My Pink Stamper Handle with Care set. I added some ribbon from my stash and topped it off with a brad from My Mind's Eye Fine and Dandy Tickled Pink decorative brads.

Other items used:
Cricut Expression
A Child's Year Cartridge ~ scalloped oval tag
Cindy Loo ~ Flower
Ranger Distress Ink ~ Tea Dye

Thank you for stopping! Now it's time to head on over to Lenae's blog: Sugargem Crafts.

Sympathy Card ~ Pumpkin Spice Design Team call Entry

Good Evening, my crafty friends! I have been busy crafting the last few days and still have a few items on my list to get done.

This morning my father-in-law called and informed us that my husband's cousin had past away. My husband wasn't close to this cousin and I had never met him but we wanted to send his cousin's parents a sympathy card. I was trying to decide on a design and was thinking about what I wanted to do when I happened upon Courts Crafts. Court was sharing about a few design team calls and so I decided I would give the Pumpkin Spice design team call a try. I had to get to this quickly as the deadline is tomorrow!

Pumpkin Spice is an online paper crafting store with discounted prices. This was the first time I have looked through thier store and I must say the that the prices are mush less than others. I plan on purchasing a few things in the near future. You should check them out. You will not be disappointed.

The requirements for the design team call was to make a new project using 2 lines of paper that they had listed.

I wanted a soft and pretty look to my card so I went with soft colors and papers from 2 of my favorite paper lines, My Mind's Eye and Echo Park.

Here is a close up of the beautiful petal pink crinkle ribbon and pearls.

Here is a list of products I used to create this card:

My Mind's Eye ~ Where the Heart Is (green polka dots and soft yellow)
Echo Park ~ Life is Good (the two shades of pink on the flower)
Solid color is DCWV
Cricut cartridges ~ A Child's Year for the oval and scalloped oval ; Cindy Loo for the flower and scalloped border.
Ranger Distress Ink ~ Tea Dye to ink around all the edges
Petal Pink Crinkle Ribbon from My Craft Spot
Cuttlebug Embossing Folder ~ Swiss Dots
Bo Bunny ~ Crazy Love Jewels ( or in this case pearls :) )
Other miscellaneous items: ATG, foam tape, glue gun, and piercing tool

Don't forget to check out Pumpkin Spice. You will love their prices and their products!

Thanks for stopping and Happy Crafting!!

Just a Pretty Owl

Happy Friday, My Crafty Friends!

It's time for another challenge over at Flaunt It Fridays. This week we are flaunting Cindy Loo and guess what? It's anything goes! How fun is that! So I was looking through my booklet and I just had to cut this owl. I already had a person in mind for this card when I created it and have already put it in the mail. Have a look-see!
I truly love how this turned out. I think it is because the paper I used is gorgeous!

Here are the details:
Cindy Loo Cricut Cartridge ~ owl and scalloped circles
Echo Park cardstock ~ Life Is Good
Cuttlebug Embossing Folder ~ Swiss Dots
Ranger Distress Ink ~ Brushed Corduroy
Ribbon
Pop dots

Now hop on over to the Flaunt It Fridays challenge blog and check out what the rest of the talented design team put together. Let me tell you there are some beautiful projects over there. Then, dust off your Cindy Loo cartridge and create something. We would love to see how you flaunt it this week.

Have great weekend, Friends!

A Treemendous Card!

Happy Monday, Everyone! I hope it's beautiful and sunny where you are! It's time for another "Challenge Me Monday" over at Fantabulous Cricut Challenge Blog and today's challenge is to use a tree or tree branch somewhere in your project. I've been using my Cindy Loo cartridge a bit more lately and I saw the perfect cut for this challenge.
Here is what was used to create this card:
Cricut Cartridge ~ Cindy Loo
Gypsy ~ I welded 2 shadow cuts for my base
Cardstock ~ Recollections and DCWV Autumn Splendor
Cuttlebug ~ Swiss Dots embossing folder
Ranger Distress Ink ~ Brushed Corduroy
Sakura Gelly Roll Pen ~ White
Ribbon ~ Hobby Lobby
Pop Dots, Glue Dots, ATG

Now this partricular cut on Cindy Loo does not have layers so I cut it out several times so that I could have green leaves and pop the frame up from the rest of the card. I also cut out a seperate bird and all its layers.

Well that's it for today. I hope you will pop on over to Fantabulous Cricut Challenge Blog to see what my fellow designers have to inspire you with today. Join in the challenge, there is always great prizes to be won!

Happy Crafting!

You're So Deer

I just wanted to share with you all a card I made for my pastor's wife. I have been going through a difficult time in my life and although I am excited about my future I am also sad about what I am leaving behind. Anyway, she came to me today and shared some encouraging words and showed me such love that I just had to make a card to share how much I care for her. This is a simple card to make but I think it came out darling.
This is a 4.25 x 5.5 card folded portait style.

Details:
  • Cricut cartridge ~ Cindy Loo ~ deer cut at 3.5 inches
  • Kraft cardstock for the base
  • Solid cardstock is WasuWasu ~ I bought this at Target and it seemed to cut quite nicely for this deer but I have had trouble with other cuts.
  • Patterned Cardstock ~ DCWV Baby Boy Mat Stack
  • Fiskar's Punch
  • Debbie Mumm ribbon
  • Sentiment is computer generated
Thank you all for your sweet comments. I appreciate them all.

Happy Crafting!

Just Because...

I have another card for you today. I made this card for some dear friends in appreciation and also as an encouragement. I decided that I would us the Peachy Keen Stamps Challenge. For this challenge you had to use the sketch and also use kraft cardstock on your project. Here is what I came up with:

This is the sketch:

Now for the details... This is a 4.75 x 5.5 size card folded at the top.
  • Cricut Cartridges~ Home Accents ~ Oval Frame, I used the hide contour feature in my Gypsy to just cut the outside of this oval, Cindy Loo ~ Flower, Plantin School Book ~ Oval and the rectangle for my layer. I designed this card in my Gypsy. I have to say that I LOVE my Gypsy!! It makes design so easy.
  • Paterned Paper is K&Company ~ Classic K McKenna Mat Pad
  • Solid Cardstock ~ Recollections
  • Rick Rack from my stash
  • Ranger Distress Ink~ Tea Dye and Aged Mahogany
I am so glad I used Home Accents and Cindy Loo for this card. It has been a long time since I used them. It makes me want to check them out all over again.

Card Recreation ~ Cindy Loo

Good Morning! I am so enjoying my time off from school. It has been so nice to just have the time to play in my craft room. Last week was very crazy but this week my kids are at summer camp so it is very quiet around here.

I wanted to share a card I recreated. I first saw this card over on Jeannie's blog. I just thought it was adorable. Here is the direct link to her card: http://aplaceformycards.blogspot.com/ Isn't it cute! Well, when I saw her card I just knew that I wanted to get the Cindy Loo Cricut cartridge. Sure enough CricutMachine.com was having a sale and I snatched this cartridge right away.

Here is what I used to make the card:
Cindy Loo Cricut cartridge ~ flower from p. 51 cut at 4 inches with the layers and squirrel from p. 62 cut at 1 inch with all it's layers

Doodle Charms Cricut cartridge ~ lady bug p.92 cut at approximately 3/4 inch and all its layers.

Paper is from DCWV Baby Boy stack and Papertrey Ink
Color Box pigment ink in brown.

Thanks for stopping by. I hope to have more projects to show later.
