My Favorite Chick and a Bit of News

Hi there! I am so excited to share some news with you today!

Recently, I was asked to join the KaDoodle Bug Designs design team! Woo Hoo!

In honor of this announcement I made a super quick and fun shaped card.

Oh my! This file is super adorable! This file is currently a Freebie from KaDoodle Bug Designs called Eggie Buddies - Peep Chick. It's still free as of this morning so if you want it you may want to hurry over to KaDoodle Bug Designs to get yours!

As, I said, I created a shaped card with the file using my Silhouette Cameo software.

For the bunny peep, I cut it in blue cardstock, inked it with some Peacock Feathers Distress ink, and ran it through my Xyron sticker maker facing down so that I could add some glitter to it. I really wanted it to look like it was coated with sugar. The glitter I used is actually called Sugar Coating, so it was perfect. I added a few enamel dots for the face.

The chick is paper-pieced pretty much the way it is meant to be. I just added some inking to my edges and a few highlights with my white gel pen and popped her up with some foam tape.

I want to thank Melissa for this opportunity to work with her designs! I am excited to be part of the team!

There is a Facebook Hop today and tomorrow so make sure to join in!

For more info on the hop head on over to the KaDoodle Bug Designs Fan Page.

Have a great weekend, everyone!

I love you with all my Heart ~ Clean & Simple Cards Day 4

Hi there! I am back today to share a card I created following a technique from Online Card Classes Clean & Simple Cards 4 ~ Day 4.

Day 4 focused on Adding Texture.

I chose to do the Faux Embossing Technique.

I created my background using My Creative Time's Stitched Sweethearts & XOXO dies

My sentiment is from Peachy Keen Stamps PKSC-01 January 2012. I heat embossed it in black embossing powder on some Vellum. The heart in colored in with a Copic marker and I added some Glosssy Accents on top. A few Pearl Satin Sequins from Neat & Tangled finished off the card.

I'm having a great time learning in the this class and have a few more techniques to try!

I will be back with more!

Thanks for stopping by!

Outta This World ~ Clean & Simple Cards Day 2

If you are looking for the Craftin Desert Divas January Release Blog Hop Day 1 click HERE or scroll down.

As I mentioned earlier this week I am taking the Clean & Simple Cards 4 from Online Card Classes. I am loving all the fun techniques I am learning! If you have never checked out Online Card Classes I highly recommend it. There are many to choose from and I plan on taking some more classes in the near future.

Today's card is from Day 2 of the class. It features in the Border Gap Die Cutting and Masking technique.

I love how this card came out. It is a very simple technique. To create my gaps I used the Fancy Edges 2 dies from My Craft Spot. These are no longer available but I am sure you can find something similar elsewhere. Once I had my cuts I masked off what I didn't want inked. I used Tim Holtz Distress inks in Fired Brick, Wild Honey, and Squeezed Lemonade to create my ray.

I stamped the spaceship from Peachy Keen Stamps PK-166 Happy Trails Spaceship and colored it with Copic Markers. I added some white gel pen accents and some Glossy Accents to the window. Around the spaceship I added some silver sequins. I thought they were the perfect little somethin' somethin' the card needed.

My sentiment is from the same Peachy Keen Stamps set. I just heat embossed it with clack embossing powder.

I popped up my panel with some foam tap and the card was finished!

This was so fun!

I hope to have more for you very soon!

Thanks for stopping by!

OCC Clean & Simple 4 Day 1

Hi There!  I am currently taking the Clean & Simple 4 class from Online Card Classes and learning so many fun techniques.

The card I am sharing today is from Day 1 called 3D Embossing. Kristina Werner share this technique.

I know this is a Halloween card! I need a nice sized sentiment and as I was going through all the many stamps I have, I came to the realization that I have very few that are a nice large size.

For this card I used Peachy Keen Stamps PK-1434 Fall Face Parts Large for my sentiment and PK-1381 Polkadot Background  for my background.

I decided to frame my sentiment with a Martha Stewart spiderweb punch that I inked up with Versa Mark in k and heat embossed it with some Black embossing powder.  To finish up my card I mounted my mat on a black cardstock base.

This technique is pretty easy. I did get a little crooked with my sentiment but over all it may be something I try again in the future.

Christmas Gift Cards for PKS Face Day

Hi there!

Today it is my day to share a Peachy Keen Stamps Face Day Project on the Peachy Keen Stamps Blog!

I know many of you, like me, have probably bought a few gift cards to give as holiday gifts this season. Gift cards are an easy gift but don't seem to have the same impact as other gifts because there isn't much to unwrap. So, I like to create gift card holders for my gift cards.

Of course, if you add Peachy Keen Stamps you have really brought them up a few notches.

Check these cuties out!

The gift card holder itself is just a 6x8" piece of cardstock that I scored at 3" on the 6' side and 4" on the 8" sided and folded. I cut away a portion on the inside and glued it down the center to creat a pocket for the gift card.

Here is what it looks like on the inside:

The fun part was decorating the outside.

For my cute faces I used a cut file from My Scrap Chick called Sweet Winter Faces. Ech one has a different Peachy Keen Stamp Face.

I love PKS PK-1445 Happy Snow Couples Face Assortment. I colored the cute snowman's face in with Copic Markers and added a sentiment from PK-859 Christmas Greeting Words

My penguins face is from PK-1448 Happy Penguin Couples 1 1/8" Faces and the sentiment is from PKSC-31 July 2014.

This cute ginger's face is from an oldie but a goodie set. PK-560 Dolly Dumplins Face Assortment was perfect for this ginger! The sentiment is from PKSC-31 July 2014.

I had a lot of fun putting these guys together and hope I've provided a bit of inspiration to you, too!

I wish you all a very Merry Christmas and Blessed New Year!

Let Us Give Thanks ~ PKS Face Day

Hi there! Today I am the featured designer on the Peachy Keen Stamps Blog.

It's Face Day and I just love using Peachy Keen Stamps faces!

Today I am sharing a fun project that would be perfect to give to your guests for Thanksgiving.

I made these cute treat boxes that I found at My Scrap Chick. I used the following files:

These files come with face parts but I just had to Peachify them.

I resized that treat boxes to make them smaller and stamped them with PK-1321 In the Garden Faces 1 1/8. I colored in the eyes with my white gem pen and added a bit of color with Copic markers.

Once that boxes were put together I added a sentiment from PKSC-22 October 2013 that I added to the pretty scalloped tags I made using the Tiny Doilies dies from My Craft Spot.

These would look great at each person's place setting on Thanksgiving day.

Be sure to head on over to the Peachy Keen Stamps Blog for more inspiration!

I hope you enjoyed my Peachy project!

Thanks for stopping by!

Counting Blessings ~ My Craft Spot Monday Challenge

Hi There! I am here to share with you the card I created for My Craft Spot's Monday Challenge.

This week's challenge is Sequins!

I love sequins and think they are so fun!

I had this fun paper sitting on my craft desk for a few weeks now and finally used it. My designer paper is from Doodlebug's Friendly Forrest. It is so fun and I love the colors!

Since the challenge is sequins I knew I wanted to make a shaker card.

I used My Craft Spot's Scrapping Life Cards metal dies to create my shaker. I stamped the inside with My Craft Spot's Happy Thanksgiving stamp set using Momento Rick Cocoa ink and Color Box Purple pigment ink. I filled my shaker with My Craft Spot's Orange Creamsicle, Perfectly Purple, Chocolate Sundae, and Pumpkin sequins.

I added this cute little fox from the Create A Critter Cricut cartridge. The eyes were stamped from Peachy Keen Stamps PK-640 Princess Face Assortment. I finished the card off with some purple ribbon I had in my stash and a few more sequins.

We would love for you to join us in the challenge this week. Head on over to My Craft Spot to check out the guidelines and see what the other designer's have created.

Thanks for joining me today!

My Craft Spot Christmas Release Party Day 3

Hi There! I am back with Day 3 of  My Craft Spot's sneak peek!

Today we are giving you a peek at MCS Tiny Tags Christmas stamp set.

I have a really cute project to share!

I first started with this cute Reindeer Belly Box from My Scrap Chick

I cut it too size and assembled it as is except that I didn't use the feet that is included in the file not did I use the eyes. Instead, I created a layer for the front and side of the box and I used Peachy Keen Stamps  PK-1202 The Moodies 2 1/4 inch faces for the reindeer's eyes. I colored them in with my white jelly roll pen and Copic markers. For his nose I added some Xmas Red Stickles.

For a fun touch I added a string of lights to his antlers. I added tags made from My Craft Spot's Tiny Tags dies and stamped them with My Craft Spot's Tiny Tags Christmas stamp set. My Craft Spot has some new twine colors that are now available for purchase. I used the new Solid Green, Red Twist, and Green Twist Baker's Twine.

All the new stamps and SVG's will be available for purchase on Saturday.

Now be sure to head on over to the My Craft Spot blog to see more projects featuring this set and while you are there leave a comment to win a $10 Gift Certificate to the My Craft Spot Store!

I hope you enjoyed my project today! Come back tomorrow for Day 4 of our sneak peeks!

Peachy Keen Stamps October Release!

Hi There! It's October Release Day at Peachy Keen Stamps!

Today Peachy Keen Stamps is releasing some fun new faces stamps and to celebrate we are having a  Facebook Hop!

For my project I used the fabulous new set PK-1433 Pumpkin Fun Face Parts.

I started with a pail from Target's dollar bin and painted it green. I then stamped my face parts with Stazon ink onto my pail and painted them in. Now I am not a great painter like our fabulous Peachy Queen but I thought it came out cute.

Of course, I filled my pail with some yummy treats and added a bow to finish it off.

For my next project I mad a super fast card featuring the new PK-1431 Squee Face Assortment.

This is not my best work but I decided to share it anyway. :P

My sentiment on my card is from PK-1340 Clearly Autumn Quart Jar Contents.

These new stamps are available for purchase today so head on over to Peachy Keen Stamps to purchase yours!

The Facebook Hop is going on right now and there are some awesome prizes to be won just for hopping along and leaving a comment.

You can get started by going to GiGi's Facebook Page!

Trendspotting with Peachy Keen Stamps!

Hi there! Today I am sharing a card on the Peachy Keen Stamps Blog.

As I perusing pictures for some inspiration for today's post I came upon a trend that I have seen lately and looks to be one of the trends for the upcoming holiday season.

I used these pictures as inspiration for my card today.

I started with a gold base and added my white background to it. To my background I add a sentiment from PK-1340 Clearly Autumn Quart Jar Contents.

I used the pine cone and branches that come with this same set and colored them with Copic marker and fussy cut them. Before adhering to the front of my card I added a little sparkle with my Pica pen. It's a little hard to see in the picture but I love the subtle sparkle it adds.

My Backer's Twine has a little gold thread that runs through it and I thought it went great with the design. I added a few gold sequins and called it finished.

I hope you found some inspiration on how you can add a little gold to your projects.

Please visit the Peachy Keen Stamps Blog for more inspiration!

Until next time,
Happy Stamping!

Spooky Treats featuring Peachy Keen Stamps

Hi there!

Today I am sharing some fun little treats featuring Peachy faces over on the Peachy Keen Stamps Blog.

I made these fun lollipop covers using my Silhouette Cameo and some SVG files from My Scrap Chick called Halloween Treat Toppers and Bags.

The files come with cute faces but I love using Peachy Keen Faces for more character.

For Dracula I used PK-695 The Uglies 1 1/8 and Phrases for the eyes.

For both of the "scary" monsters I first stamped the eyes on some Xpress-it card stock and colored then with my Copic markers. I, then, fussy cut them out and added them to the faces. Frankies mouth was also stamped with PK-694. To give the eyes shine I added some Ranger Glossy Accents.

The sentiment is part of the The Uglies Face assortment.

These were really fun to put together and would be great for some little goblins that came to your door.

I hope I've inspired you to get these stamps out and play!

I used the cute little spider, web, and sentiment from PK-130 Spider and Web and my sentiment was stamped on they label from PK-1423 Halloween Sentiments and Label.

I colored over my spiders with my Spica pen for a little sparkle and added a few gems to finish off the card.
