Christmas Shaker with Craftin Desert Divas

Happy Monday! I am up on the Craftin Desert Divas Blog to share a little shaker card fun!!

The new Craftin Desert Divas Inside Scalloped Square Dies are perfect for creating shaker cards!

I had this cute little reindeer colored up and on my desk for a while and thought he was perfect for inside my shaker. 

I created a scene for my background using some inking and some heat embossing. I, then added some trees from the new Outdoor Landscape 2 Dies.

I filled my shaker with some CDD sequins and a bit of glitter. I wish you could see all the sparkle that is inside there!!

The card is finished off with a sentiment and some winter accents.

Craftin Desert Divas June Release Blog Hop

Here's what I've created for you...

For my first card I used the new Crazy Stitched Frames. I love this new set of dies!. The stitching is fabulous!! I had been dying to use the Across the Border stamps to create streamers after Jan, my fellow design team sister, used the stamp in a similar way. 

I curved the stamp in different direction and masked where needed. I colored it all in with Copic markers. The balloons are from CDD Party Dies. They were colored with Copic markers, as well. 

My sentiment is from CDD Wishful Thoughts Dies and Wishful Thoughts Stamps. 

For my second card I used the new Greeting Word Dies and Tiny Sentiments stamps. 

I first cut my panel with CDD Picture Frame Die and inked it up with Distress Inks. I used Spun Sugar, Abandon Coral, Barn Door, and Aged Mahogany.

I, then, used the Heart of Heart Die to create a window for my shaker card. I filled the shaker with Peppermint Twist Sequins.

I cut the word Totally several times from the new Greeting Word Dies and stacked them for some dimension. The rest of my sentiment from the Tiny Sentiment stamps was heat embossed in white on a banner that was cut from the Flag Banner Dies.

Here you can see the dimension. 

The card was finished off with some Glossy Accents on several of the hearts.

I Sea It's Your Birthday ~ Craftin Desert Divas Daily Post

Hi there! Today is my day to share over on the Craftin Desert Divas Blog.

I am sharing a little Under the Sea inspiration.

I love how many of the Craftin Desert Divas products work together!

Today my card features 3 different CDD stamp sets.

I knew I wanted to make a shaker card and at first I had envisioned putting all of my images inside. As you can see, I changed my mind as all of the elements came together. 

I started by inking up a cardstock panel with Distress ink. To create my sea I used Distress Ink in the following colors starting at the bottom: Mermaid Lagoon, Salty Ocean, Peacock Feathers, and Cracked Pistachio. I sprinkled some water droplets here and there to make it look even more like the ocean. Once I was happy with how it looked I used the Fancy Frame Dies to give my panel a pretty edge.

Using my Fuse tool I created a pocket and slipped that panel inside.

To the front I added images from CDD Magical Wishes stamps, Under the Sea stamps, and Enchanted Tales. These were all colored with Copic markers. The sand was die cut with CDD Outdoor Landscape Dies and attached to the bottom.

I heat embossed my sentiment and wrapped it around the card front. I was so glad I had some blue vellum! 

To complete my card I added some Skyfall Sequins to my pocket and tied some Baker's Twine to the top of the card.

This is what I created:

Shaker cards are so fun!! I chose some Doodle Bug Design paper and everything came together from there. I used Craftin Desert Divas Banner Dies and Stitched in Circles dies to create this shaker.

The shaker was filled with CDD Trick or Treat Sequins. The colors matched perfectly with this paper.

I colored an image from CDD Monster Mania using Copic markers. A little Glossy Accents was added to his eyes and Clear wink of Stella to his spots.

Lastly I used the new Wishful Thoughts Word Dies and a sentiment from CDD Bring on the Cake stamps and my card was complete.

Here is what I created..

For my Lots of Layers I created a shaker card featuring The new CDD Magical Wishes Stamp set.

I used my CDD Fancy Frame Dies to cutout my layers and inked it all with Distress Inks in Wilted Violet, Picked Raspberry, and Spun Sugar.

Before inking the background I heat embossed the swirly stars with some sparkle embossing powder.

I colored my unicorn with my Zig Clean Color Brush Markers in some bright pinks and purples and stamped my sentiment on a circle I cut using the CDD Stitched in Circles Dies.  My shaker is filled with CDD Pizzazz and Fairy Dust Sequins and I threw in a little glitter for more sparkle.

My outside frame is also glittered up!
