Welcome Little One ~ with Craftin Desert Divas

Hi There! It's my day to share an inspiration project on the Craftin Desert Divas Blog.

This is what I am sharing:

I made these quick and easy baby cards that you can literally whip up in no time with the wonderful products from Craftin Desert Divas!

All that is needed to make these cards is a few dies, sentiment stamps, and some patterned paper.

My card base color was dictated by the patterned paper I used. I layered it with some designer paper cut with the Crazy Stitched Frame Dies.

I used the new Tiny Treasure Dies and cut my pieces with various patterned paper and inked around all the edges with some Vintage Photo Distress Ink.

For my little girl card I added a flower to the onsie from the Crazy Stitched Frame Dies and a few little buttons on the shoes for some detail.

For my boy version I added a star from the Pocket Pieces Hello Dies and a bit of Baker's Twine to the shoes.

To finish the cards off I used the adorable sentiment from Sugar & Spice.

And there you have it! Super easy but, oh, so cute!

Thanks for joining me today!

My Happy Planner Week of 7/18 - 7/24 featuring CDD Plan It Out

Happy Sunday!!

I am so excited to share my first weekly spread in my new Happy Planner.

I've used planners in the past when I was a school teacher but those were just functional. When I started seeing the new MAMBI Happy Planners and how everyone was decorating them I had to jump on board! AND since Craftin Desert Divas came out with these new Plan It Out stamps I knew I was going to be all in!! So this is my first weekly spread featuring all Craftin Desert Divas products.

I started my layout by using a stencil and some Distress Ink for my honeycomb background. I stamped some images from CDD Busy Bee stamps and the Just Bugcause stamps on some sticker paper and colored them with Copic markers. I did some simple blending as sticker paper isn't the best paper for Copic coloring.

I used the new Plan It Out stamps in various places for my week. I colored some of those images with colored pencils.

I love the little list maker stamp. The little square die from the Pocket Pieces Hi Dies is the perfect fit for this particular stamp.

Here is a look at the new Plan It Out stamps:

There is a Facebook Hop happening today featuring these stamps. Check it for a chance to win a CDD Gift Certificate!

For my card, I used the new Tiny Treasure stamps. I started with my base that was die cut with CDD Fancy Frames Dies. I stamped and did some masking with Tiny Treasure stamps. The images were masked again so that the inking process could happen. I used Ranger Distress Inks in Squeezed Lemonade, Tumbles Glass, Broken China, Mermaid Lagoon, and Chipped Sapphire. To create my stars I added a few whiter specks here and there with some white acrylic paint.

The images were colored with Copic markers. I added my sentiments, both from the Tiny Treasures stamps and heat embossed them in white. Lastly, I added some Baker;'s Twine and the card was complete!

To finish the background I add a few white splatters using some watered down white acrylic paint.

For this card, I started with a base that was die cut with Craftin Desert Divas Crazy Stitched Frame Dies. I wanted a window for my little girl to look out from so I created it with the CDD Mix It Dies. For some texture, I ran this frame through my Big Shot using a wood-grain embossing folder.

My sweet little girl is from CDD Happy Thoughts stamps as well as my sentiment. I colored her with Copic markers.

My card is finished off with a few die cut flowers included in the Crazy Stitched Frames Dies

Craftin Desert Divas June Release Showcase

Hi There!

As you may know by now Craftin Desert Divas did things in reverse with our release this month and we did the blog hop first. And, instead of sneak peeks we are showcasing the new stamps throughout this week. So, this is day 3!

Today the focus is on the new Greeting Word Dies and Tiny Sentiments Stamps.

I happening to LOVE these sets!! They work perfectly together and the Tiny Sentiments work great with the word dies: Wishful Thoughts.

Here is the card I made for today's featured products...

To create this card I first started with the outline image from the Botanical Layers stamp set. I heat embossed the images in white embossing powder and water colored them with my Zig Clean Color Real Brush Pens. I really love these pens! It's is so fun coloring with them!!

After the coloring dried I spayed my flowers with some Sparkle Spritz spray. I really wish the pictures picked up on that for you. It is quite pretty!

I cut out my flowers and added them to a frame that was cut with the Picture Frame Dies and the Mix It Up Dies. The frame was embossed with an old Cuttlebug embossing folder.

For the layer underneath, I sponged on some Distress Inks: Spun Sugar, Squeezed Lemonade, and Tumbled Glass. I added some water droplets, then splattered it with some white and black ink.

I still wanted a softer look so I layered a piece of vellum on top.

I stacked a few of the Greeting Word Dies together and water colored it with my Zigs. I chose a sentiment from Tiny Sentiments and heat embossed it in black.

A few touches with a white gel pen and some Glossy Accents here and there and my card was complete!

There is a Facebook Inspiration Hop going on right now. If you would like a chance to with some Craftin Desert Divas store credit head on over to Facebook!

That's it for me today!

Have a good one!!
