Aged to Perfection!

Hi Everyone! Welcome to Luv Scrapping Together!

Today I am sharing a card that I made for my father-in-law's 87th birthday. He has come to enjoy getting handmade cards from me and so I HAVE to make them for him. :)

I know many of you struggle with male cards just as I do. Not only is it a challenge for me to make a male card, it is also a challenge to come up with an idea for my father-in-law that I have not already done.

The phrase, "Aged to Perfection," kept going through my mind and so that is how this card came about.

These aren't the best pictures but I think you get the idea.

Here is what was used:
Simply Charmed Cricut cartridge ~ wine
From My Kitchen Cricut cartridge ~ cheese ( I didn't used the swiss layer )
Lacy Labels Cricut Lite cartridge ~ sentiment mat and shadow
Fiscar's edge punch
Echo Park Papers
Sentiment is computer generated
Acetate for the top layer of the wine bottle

Well, there you have it! I hope it has given you an idea to use for a future card.

Thanks for stopping!

Until next time...
Happy Crafting!

Scrappy Moms Stamps November Release ~ Freshly Brewed

Hello Everyone! Welcome to Luv Scrapping Together!

Today I am showing you Scrappy Moms Stamps newest release, "Freshly Brewed."

If you are a coffee or tea lover OR you know someone that is a coffee or tea lover then these are the stamps for you! Have a looksee!

These are fantastic!! Over the next few days I will be featuring some projects using this stamp set. I even  have one for you today!

This is a simple little shaped card that I created using my Gypsy and the coffee pot from From My Kitchen Cricut cartridge. I just welded the shadow together and then cut another shadow layer for on top to hide the fold. I then cut the layers that I wanted to use.

I added this Peachy Keen face stamp  because I thought it went great with my sentiment. It is from PK-450 Wide Eyed Kids assortment. I used my white gel pen to color in the eyes and added some Ranger glossy Accents for some shine and demension.

My sentiment, of course, comes from Scrappy Moms Stamps' newest set Freshly Brewed. This set is in stock and ready to ship! While your visiting Scrappy Moms Stamps don't forget to grab some Twinery Bakere's Twine like I have added to my coffee pot. They have a great selection of colors.

Thank you for stopping and have a wonderful weekend!!

2011 Coming Events and A Winner

WARNING ~ Long Post! I hope you will bear with me. :)

Hello Everyone! First I would just like to say WELCOME to all my new followers/friends. I am delighted that you chose to follow my blog and hope to inspire you as much as you inspire me.

Today I wanted to take the time to share some things that you will be seeing on my blog in the near future. I had wanted to share this with you a few days earlier but a family crisis prevented me from having the time to do that. Sometimes life can be hard but I am thankful that I have a Heavenly Father that knows what is best.

First I would like to announce that I have been selected to be a designer for Flaunt It Fridays Challenge Blog.
I am so honored to be chosen to be part of this talented group of ladies. The latest challenge is to use the martini glass from From My Kitchen Cricut cartridge and to do something other than a card. Here is what I put togeher:
I decided to make a tag to add to a gift. I used Tags, Bags, Boxes and More for the base. The sentiment is computer generated and of course I had to use my Gelly Roll Pens.  All cardstock is from Recollections. Added ribbon and a few I Rock gems and it was finished! Easy! :)

Coming this Friday, January 7th, Flaunt It Fridays will be hosting a Hello Kitty Blog Hop.
This will be my first blog hop as a designer for them and I am excited and hope that you will join us in the hop.

I will continue to design for Fantabulous Cricut Challenge Blog. So look for those posts on Mondays.

Coming March 14th - 18th I will be a Guest Designer for Peachy Keen Stamps Challenge Blog. It will be a week filled with Peachy Keen goodness. So mark your calendars. There will be a Peachy giveaway!

Next, I have created a Facebook page as a means to keep you all updated on Luv Scrapping Togethers latest posts. You  can LIKE  Luv Scrapping Together by hitting the Like button posted on the side of my blog.

I also wanted to share my  New Years Crafting Resolution! I have resolved to make something from every Cricut Cartridge I own. I will try to feature at least 2 cartridges a month here on my blog. I have come to the realization that I have not used many of my cartridges enough or not at all. That must be corrected!

The last item on my list is to announce the Rockin' New Years Blog Hop winner! Using Random.org the winner is...

#46 Erin from Spantastikreations

Congratulations, Erin, I will email you shortly for your address and get your I Rock out to you immediately.

Thank you all for your support and kind comments. I truly cherish each one! Here is to a wonderfully creative New Year!  Happy Crafting! ~ Saundra :)

You're So Sweet (My Pink Stamper Design Team Submission)

Good Morning! Robyn, over at My Pink Stamper, had made an announcement that she was going to pick designers for her design team. This is the card that I submitted. She made the announcement at midnight last night and sorry to say I was not picked. Oh well, maybe next time. :) If you would like to see the new designers just click here -->My Pink Designers.

All right, moving on to my card...

Ingredients:
Card base is 4 1/4 x 5 1/2
Paper is from Papertrey Ink ~ New Leaf, Spring Moss, Raspberry Fizz, and Hibiscus Burst
Patterned paper is DCWV Baby Girl Stack

Cartridges:
From My Kitchen ~ cupcake and cherry, using the blackout and layer features
Stretch Your Imaginations ~ flourish p.78, using shift in the shadow and blackout feature.

The sentiment is from Inkadinkado stamps and I used Glossy Accents for the cherries. The ribbon is just some I had in my stash and went perfectly with this card.
