Happy Fall!

Hi There! Welcome to Luv Scrapping Together!

Today I wanted to share a card I made for a swap over at the Peachy Keen Connection. The theme for this swap was "Fall" and of course we had to use Peachy Keen Stamps on our cards.

You may have a seen a similar card that I made when this scrarecrow stamp was released last month but I loved this card and decided to amp it up a bit.

Th scarecrow is from PKSC-09 September Stamp of the Month. He was colored with Copics and paper-pieced. I cut the pumpkin from Mini Monsters Cruct cartridge an stamped him with a face from that same set. The corn is from Just Because Cards and the fence is from Paper Doll Dress Up.

The grass and leaves are both made with punches. You can find the sentiment on PKSC-09 September Stamps of the Month.

I just wanted to say what great fun I had making this card and I LOVE all the cards I received!

Blessed Layout

Good Morning!
Today’s Challenge Me Monday #37 over at Fantabulous Cricut Challenge Blog is to create something for which you are Thankful. I am so pleased to show you my project today. Many of you may have noticed that I am mostly a card maker but when I was told that I needed to make something for which I was thankful I knew right away I would need to feature my family. I feel truly blessed to have them all in my life and I love them dearly. So, I challenged myself and decided to do a layout of my family.

Here ar few close ups:
I have already framed this and will be hanging it in my craft room. I just love it!

Here are the details:
  • Cricut Cartridges ~ Plantin Schoolbook, scallops ~ Create A Critter , pumpkins ~ Simply Charmed, scarecrow ~ Just Because Cards, corn ~ Country Life, banner
  • Patterned Paper ~ K&Company, Pumpkin Pie paper pack
  • Solid Cardstock ~ Mostly Bazzil
  • Peachy Keen Stamps ~ PK-692 Monster Mash Face Assortment
  • Crinkle Ribbon ~ Acorn (you can purchase it from Kimberly at My Craft Spot)
  • Color Box Chalk Ink ~ Chestnut Roan

  • Martha Stewart Gems (I’ve had these for well over a year and finally used them!)

I think that’s it! I hope you are inspired to make something for which you are thankful and join us in this week’s Challenge Me Monday at Fantabulous Cricut.

Have a blessed week, Everyone!

The Perfect Pear

This card is made for the Peachy Keen Stamps sketch and color challenge. I wasn't sure I cared for the colors at first but once i got the card put together I really liked it.

This is the sketch and color combination we were to follow.
My card is 4.25 x 5.5.
The recipe:

  • Cricut Cartridges~ Plantin Schoolbook~ I used my Gypsy to lay out my whole card and cut all my layers sizing the rectangles as follows: Layer 1~ 4 x 5.25; Layer 2~ 3.25 x 3.5; Layer 3~ 3 x 3.25; Layer 4~ 2.75 x 3; Layer 5~ 2.5 x 2.75; I cut these all on real dial size. I cut the tag at 2 inches. I also cut the scallops sized at 4 x .75. The pears and all the layers are cut at 2.25 inches from the Just Because Cards cartridge.

  • Cuttlebug~ Floral Fantasy~ I embossed the melon cardstock with this folder

  • Cardstock is from Colorbok except for the melon. That is from Papertrey Ink.

  • Sentiment~ Studio G

  • Distress Ink~ Tea Dye~ I inked around all the edges of each cut.

  • Ribbon is from WalMart

  • Pop dots for the pear and tag
I think that is it. I really enjoyed this challenge and hope to participate in the future.

Happy crafting!
