You Put The Happy...

Hi Everyone! Welcome to Luv Scrapping Together!

Today is the day! Peachy Keen Stamps is releasing the new April Stamp of the Month, plus all the add ons, and the Peachy Picks. Haven't you just LOVED all the sneak peeks?!

I absolutely love the new background stamp, Cloudy Day! I can see using this stamp over and over!

I stamped the background with sky blue pigment ink. Pigment ink is the best ink to use with background stamps as it clings to stamp better.

I created this card in my Gypsy using a Child's Year for the card base, ZooBalloo for the grass, and Smiley Cards for the flowers.

The faces come from my favorite PK-293 The Cornies Face Assortment and the sentiment is from the newly released PK-105 Happy Hour.

You Moo-ve Me! ~SMS Terrific Tuesday Challenge

Welcome to Luv Scrapping Together!

It's Terrific Tuesday Challenge time over at Scrappy Moms Stamps. For this challenge the designers were all asked to make a project that included an Action Wobble.

I thought it would be fun to use a sentiment from Scrappy Moms newest release, Spring Fair.

I love this cow from the Paper Dolls Dress Up cartridge but it doesn't have layers. So, I created my own layers by cutting her out 3 times in brown, beige, and black. Then I pieced her together. I cut away her head and attached it to an Action Wobble.

In the following pictures I tried to capture the movement. It's not an easy task but I wanted you to see how the head moves.

As I mentioned earlier, I used the newest stamp set from Scrappy Moms Stamps.

Hi Everyone! Welcome to Luv Scrapping Together!

Scrappy Moms Stamps has released another fabulous new set of stamps this month but, not only that, we have a new product to share!! The designers have been all a buzz about this one!

Well, I can't hold it in any longer!

It's the first ever Scrappy Moms Stamps "Pinwheel Die!" It is fabulous and so easy to use. Pinwheels seem to be showing up everywhere and Scrappy Moms has just made it easier for us to make them at an affordable price!

To go along with this wonderful die is a the newsest set of stamps, "Spring Fair!"

Several of the sentiments work perfectly with the Pinwheel Die but you can use these with some many wonder die cuts. I have several ideas brewing right now!

This card was super quick.

Gnomegrown ~ Peachy Keen Stamps Anything Goes Challenge

I used a svg file that I purchased from My Scrap Chick and added images and a sentiment from PKS March Stamp of the Month.

I used Copic markers to color my little gnome. I only have a few and am just starting out.

You may see this project again in the near future. I know I need to make an Easter version!!

Mmm Girl Scout Cookies!!

Hi Crafty Friends! Welcome to Luv Scrapping Together!

Today I have a card that I made for my little niece, Amber. Amber just started Girl Scouts this year and she was selling Girl Scout Cookies. I had ordered some cookies from her and her mom, my sister, mailed them to me.  I live in North Carolina and she lives in Pennsylvania so I don't get to see her very often. Amber told her mom that she wanted me to come to get the cookies because she missed me. So, I just had to make her this cute little Girl Scout card.

The little Girl Scout is a SVG file that I purchased from My Scrap Chick. It took me a little while to piece it together but I think it turned out cute.

Spring Gift Bag

Hello, My Crafty Friends.

Today I have a spring gift bag that I have made for a few challenges. I am definately in the mood for spring and the weather here in NC has been beautiful.

The details:

Cricut Cartridges ~ Plantin Schoolbook for the gift bag, I used my Gypsy and sized it to fit a 8.5 x 11 inch piece of kraft cardstock. Create A Critter for the bee, Simply Charmed for the flowers, Zooballoo for the grass, and Tags, Bags, Boxes, and More for the round tag.

Bundle of Joy Layout

Hi Everyone! It's me again! This is my second post for today. :)

Today is design team day at 40:31 Creations. There are 5 fabulous stamps sets created by Lauren and there will be soon, and I mean very soon, to be released sets on the horizon. These stamps are of high quality and stamp so crisp and clean. I love them.

Our project for today was to make a layout. Now, as many of you know from following my blog, I really don't do layouts. In fact, I have only ever done one before so... this is a struggle for me. I love that I am being stretched creatively. My vision I had at first is nothing like what I ended up creating but all I can say is that I LOVE the end result. 

Isn't this adorable! The picture is of my oldest daughter. She is about to turn 16 in a few weeks. Time sure does fly! Ok, on to the details:

Cricut Cartridges ~ New Arrival, airplane and banner with all the layers, Pooh and Friends, butterfly and layers, Smiley Cards, flowers and all the layers. I hid the faces on these using my Gypsy. Plantin Schoolbook to add a tiny rectangle to the stems of the flowers to make them longer. I welded these together in my Gypsy. Zooballoo for the grass. I also used my Gyspy here to weld 2 pieces together to make it long enough to fit across my 12 x 12 mat.

Now you may have begun to wonder why I am making cards for my former students. Well, about a week or so ago I posted about going through a bit of a difficult time. The reason I said difficult was because I was in a transition. I have been teaching 3rd and 4th graders at a private school for the last 7 years and I had my last day last Friday. I truly LOVE teaching and will miss my students very much. I am now an official Stay at Home, Homeschooling, Mom again!  Anyway, I wanted to make the kids cards and tried to think of things they liked best. This year I only had 5 students. I already posted 2 cards that I made the girls in my class. I have 2 more cards to go and will post them in the next day or so.

Hip Hip Hurray! Throwback Thursday Challenge #60

Hello Everyone! I hope you all are enjoying your weekend. It's busy here. My sister is coming for a visit and so I am trying to get ready.

I wanted to share my submission to Emma's Throwback Thursday Challenge over at My Creative Time. The challenge this week was to use the Cricut cartridge ZooBalloo. It is an oldie but a goodie. This is actually one of the first one's I had ever bought and I have enjoyed it very much.

The recipe:

This card is 5 1/2 x 5 1/2.

ZooBalloo Cricut cartridge ~ hippo cut at 3 inches shadow and blackout. Letters cut at 1 1/2 inches welded together in Design Studio. I used the shdow feature for this. Cloud ( sorry I don't remember what the size was for this ) I used the hide contour feature to hide one of the clouds.

Create A Critter Cricut cartridge ~ grass ( again, I don't remember the size )

All the solid cardstock is from Papertrey Ink and the patterned paper is from DCWV Animal Crackers Stack.

Eye stamp from Peachy Keen Stamps ABC Animal Faces ~ I don't remember the one I used but it was not the one for the hippo. I used one that just had the eyes. I drew the other details on with a black gel pen.

Hemp was used for the bow.

My Pink Stamper Color Challenge

Hello, Everyone! Here is a card that I made for the  My Pink Stamper color challenge. The challenge is to use only Pink, Brown, Orange, and Green in a project. You can read about the challenge here -->Challenge

Recipe:

This card is 5x5 inches.

All solid cardstock is from Papertrey Ink in dark chocolate, orange zest, summer sunrise, ripe avacado, new leaf, spring moss, raspberry fizz, and hibiscus burst.

Patterned paper is from Memory Makers~ Chloe's Closet

I laid all the pieces of this card in Design Studio.

Cartridges used:

Plantin SchoolBook ~ patterned paper square cut at 4 3/4 x 4 3/4 inches

Doodlecharms ~ sun p. 96 cut at 2 inches, regular cut and shadow feature

Pooh and Friends ~ turtle p.45 cut at 2 1/2 inches using icon and shift feature. I cut the shell twice to get the 2 shades of pink. I LOVE this little turtle!

ZooBalloo ~ grass p. 129 cut at 1 1/2 inches on regular cut and cut at 1 inch on layer feature. I flipped one of these cuts so the grass was going in different directions.

Other items used:

Cuttlebug ~ Swiss Dots folder

Tim Holtz Distress Ink ~ Tea Dye, all cuts were inked in this.

Martha Stewart ~ butterfly punch

foam tape to pop the trutle's shell and the top layer of grass

I think this is one of my favorite cards I have made to date.

Toilet Paper Roll & Tag Scrapbook

Mom and i made this together for a little boy who goes to the zoo alot. We used the Zoobaloo Cricut cartridge for the letters and the animals, Plantin Schoolbook Cricut cartridge for the tags, and DCWV Safari Kids and DCWV Animal Crackers for the paper. It's so cute and fun!

ZooBalloo Birthday Card

I made this for my nephew for his birthday. Here is what I used:

• ZooBalloo Cricut cartridge
• Design Studio
• K&Co Classic K McKenna Mat Pad
• K&Co Hopscotch Boy Mat Pad
• Color Box pigment ink ~ Brown

I used the monkey , grass, and vine cuts. I don't remember the sizes as I used Design Studio to lay it all out. The sentiment on the out side is computer generated. It says, "Happy Birthday" on the inside which was also cut from ZooBallo0.
