Pretty In Pink Baby Gift Set ~ Pink By Design Guest Spot

Hi there, Crafty Friends! Welcome to Luv Scrapping Together!

It's an exciting day for me because I am the featured guest designer on Pink Cricut today!

I have been holding on to this project for quite some time and am so glad to share it. Before I do, here is a little about me:

"My name is Saundra. I have been happily married to my high school sweetheart for 24 years. We have 4 beautiful children. I have always been crafty and have tried various hobbies. I got into paper crafting about 2 years ago when I purchased my Cricut Expression to use in my classroom. I thought it would be a great tool to use for my bulletin boards and decorations. Since then I have been hooked. I no longer teach in a classroom but that hasn't stopped me from using my Cricut. I love to blog and share what I have created as well as gain inspiration from all the wonderful crafty friends I have made around the world."
Now on to my project. I have created a baby gift set.

For my project I used New Arrival and accent Essentials Cricut cartridges. I stamped my card and box with Pink By Design ~ Baby Love set.

My card measures 4"x4". ( I had a close up of the card but something happened to it. )

The cardstock I used for this project comes from Bazzil and My Mind's Eye.

For my gift box I used one sheet of 12" x 12" piece of cardstock. There are many tutorials out there but if you would like to make this box you can view this youtube video.

I inked all my cuts and edges with Ranger Distress Ink in Brushed Corduroy and accented all my cuts with a white or black gel pen.

The baby's face is from Peachy Keen Stamps ~ Pk-547 Cutie Pie Face Assortment.
A few other items that were used to create this box were  Stickles in Worn Lipstick, ribbon, brads, buttons, foam tape and adhesive.

This is a great box and such a nice size to fill with baby items.

I hope you will visit Pink Cricut and check out all of Sarah's wonderful stamps and other crafty items. I am sure you will find something you just can't live without.

Thank you, Sarah, for this wonderful opportunity. I truly enjoyed making this project and using your stamps.

Happy Crafting!!

Bundle of Joy Layout

Hi Everyone! It's me again! This is my second post for today. :)

If you are looking for the Fantabulous Cricut "Share the Love" Crawl click HERE.
For the Flaunt It Fridays "Paper Doll" Blog Hop click HERE.

Today is design team day at 40:31 Creations. There are 5 fabulous stamps sets created by Lauren and there will be soon, and I mean very soon, to be released sets on the horizon. These stamps are of high quality and stamp so crisp and clean. I love them.

Our project for today was to make a layout. Now, as many of you know from following my blog, I really don't do layouts. In fact, I have only ever done one before so... this is a struggle for me. I love that I am being stretched creatively. My vision I had at first is nothing like what I ended up creating but all I can say is that I LOVE the end result.
Isn't this adorable! The picture is of my oldest daughter. She is about to turn 16 in a few weeks. Time sure does fly! Ok, on to the details:

Cricut Cartridges ~ New Arrival, airplane and banner with all the layers, Pooh and Friends, butterfly and layers, Smiley Cards, flowers and all the layers. I hid the faces on these using my Gypsy. Plantin Schoolbook to add a tiny rectangle to the stems of the flowers to make them longer. I welded these together in my Gypsy. Zooballoo for the grass. I also used my Gyspy here to weld 2 pieces together to make it long enough to fit across my 12 x 12 mat.
40:31 Creations ~ New Baby stamps.
Peachy Keen Stamps ~ PK-532 Simple Sallies 1 1/8 and PK-754 Critter Faces Set A Medium
White and Black Gelly Roll Pens for doodling.
White pigment ink ~ I used this to sponge on my background to give the look of clouds. It's very subtle.
Foam tape and ATG

Thanks for stopping by and make sure you visit 40:31 Creations to see what my fellow designers have created today. You will not be disappointed. You can check out Lauren's stamps HERE.

Happy Crafting!

I will be submitting this for The Pink Stamper challenge because it makes me smile! :)

Hello Kitty Blog Hop

Hello! Welcome to the Flaunt It Friday's  Hello Kitty Blog Hop. If you are here from the super talented Elsa's blog Cricutlver then you are in the right spot. If you just arrived here and would like to start from the beginning please go directly to the Flaunt It Fridays blog. For this week's challenge we were asked to flaunt the Hello Kitty with Airplane on Page 65 from the Hello Kitty Greetings Cart. I am one of the designers that does not own that cart but I was able to use other carts to create a Hello Kitty look-alike.
I made a treat bag topper. To make my Hello Kitty look-alike I used Create A Critter for the kitty and New Arrival for the airplane. I used my Gypsy to "hide" the kitty face and the windows on the airplane. I Peachy Keen Stamps PK-754 Critter Faces Medium for the kitty face. I had to kind of ink certain parts of the face stamps to get the parts that I wanted. I used heart shaped brads for my airplane windows and used to white gelly roll pens for the stitching. The Cuttlebug D'Vine Swirls was used to emboss the background paper.

Now for my second project we got to choose any cut from the Hello Kitty Greetings but again since I don't own the cartridge I chose a similar cut. I used the Cricut Search Engine and found that there are cherries on Hello Kitty Greetings so I found some cherries on several cartridges and chose the cherries from Country Life. For my second project I made a card.
This is a 4.25x5.5 inch card. The cherries were cut from the Country Life cartridge. The patterned paper came from DCWV Sweet Stack. I used a Fiscars punch and added ribbon and button with baker's twine. Used my white gelly roll pen for a bit of accent. The sentiment is from Pink By Designs Country Living stamp set.

Now what's a blog hop without some blog candy! Today I am giving away a $10 gift certificate to Peachy Keen Stamps! All you have to do is make sure you are a follower and leave a  comment after this post. Our hop will run all weekend long and I will chose the winner for my my blog candy on Tuesday Jan. 11th.

Now remember, you must leave a comment on everyone's blog to have a chance to win the Grand Prize Giveaway which is the Love Always stamp set sponsored by Pink By Design. The grand prize will be on Sandra's blog! You will have all weeked to complete the hop and we will draw the winner sometime on Monday or Tuesday.

Welcome Little One

Here is a card I made for the Cricut Cardz Challenge and for My Pink Stamper's Challenge. On Cricut Cardz Challenge you are to make a baby card using the colors orange, green, yellow, and white only and on My Pink Stamper you are to make something with a bird. I love when I can enter more than one challenge. Just so you know Robyn on My Pink Stamper is celebrating 5 million hits on her blog and is doing several challenges and giveaways. If you haven't check her blog out you are missing a real treat. Here are the details for my card:

This card is 5 1/4 x 5 1/4 and is folded at the top

  • Cricut cartridge used ~ New Arrival ~ rubber duck. I used the hide contour on my Gypsy to hide the eye. I also used Plantin School Book~ squares for my matting. I used real dial size and also unlinked the height and width to get the sizes I wanted.
  • Martha Stewart ~ Lace punch
  • Solid Cardstock ~ Recollections ~ You can purchase this cardstock at Micheals. I have been trying out different solid cardstock and this seems to cut nicely and it's not too expensive :)
  • Ribbon ~ Hobby Lobby
  • Sentiment ~ Computer generated
  • Cuttlebug ~ Swiss Dots embossing folder and Divine Swirls embossing folder ~ these are 2 of my favorites!
  • Foam tape ~ I popped the duck up off the base
  • Martha Stewart ink ~ Orange ~ I inked the duck
  • Gelly Roll Pen
I am so encouraged by your comments. Thanks for being so sweet!

Happy Crafting!
