Chevron Birthday ~ Scrappy Moms Stamps July Release

Hi There! Welcome to Luv Scrapping Together!

Today I am sharing a card that I created with the new Scrappy Moms Stamps July Release!

I created this card for my nephew who was turning 13. I wanted to make sure it was not cutsie and that it was more masculine in nature. I started with a Kraft base and cut another layer 1/4" smaller. This layer was run through the Cuttlebug with the Diamond Plate embossing folder.

I used patterned paper from Echo Park's A Boy's Life. The number 13 was cut from the Birthday Bash Cricut cartridge. I cut it out 3 times in Kraft and once in the patterned paper so it would have a chipboard look to it. It was then layered onto a circle and gear shape that I cut from the Elegant Edges Cricut cartridge. Everything was inked with Ranger Distress Ink in Vintage Photo.

I used some of my scraps and the new Scrappy Moms Stamps Chevron and Rick Rack Die for my chevron on the bottom of the card. I LOVE this die!!

To finish off the front, I added 2 silver brads.

I also decorated the inside of the card:

I used more of the chevron on the inside and added a sentiment from Scrappy Moms Stamps "Hooray for Birthdays" set.

Here is a look at the Scrappy Moms Stamps products I used:

The Chevron and Rick Rack die is new along with the set below!

You can find all of these products at Scrappy Moms Stamps!

I will back with more from the new release so stay tuned!

Until next time...
Happy Crafting!

NSD hourly Challenge at Shop Pumpkin Spice!

Hi There! Welcome to Luv Scrapping Together and the Shop Pumpkin Spice May Blog Hop!

This month we are celebrating National Scrapbooking Day with a Challenge on Every Stop.

The twist.... Design Team members will be posting Hourly starting at 8 AM est.

The last challenge was posted on Lezlye's Blog: Lezlye's Ink and Paper Creations and the Pumpkin Spice Blog.  I have posted the whole blog list at end of this post so you can easily see what you may have missed so far.

Here is what I have created today. These are 2 shaped cards and I used scraps to create them.

For this card, I used Birthday Bash Cricut cartridge to create the base , the scallop, and the hat.

The base was cut from Bazzill Kraft cardstock. All of my scraps came from Echo Park's Paradise Beach 6x6 paper pad. This is a fun and colorful collection of beach and summer prints.

I added a brad from MME The Sweetest Thing Sunshine Brads and added some baker's twine in Blossom from The Twinery.

To finish my card off, I added some faux stitiching with my white gel pen and a ribbon from my stash.

Here you can see how this card folds open. The Cricut cartridge has this shape built right in.

For my second card, I started with the same Bazzill Kraft cardstock but this time I used 2 circles that I cut from Accent Essentials Cricut cartridge. In the picture below it shows how I attached them to create the base. The circle and starburst shape also came from Accent Essentials.

I cut the party hat from Simply Charmed Cricut cartridge.

My scraps for this card came form MME The Sweetest Thing "Tangarine" 6x6 pad. I LOVE the prints in the collection. They are just so pretty.

I made a pom pom from The Twinery Baker's Twine in Mandarin for some embellishment.

This sentiment is also from My Pink Stamper's Birthday Doodles set and stamped with MPS Darkest Night Ink.

To make a shaped card without using software to weld your images togetheris to cut 2 of the same shape. Score one of the shapes about 1 1/2 inches from the edge and just add adhesive to that part. It's very easy and the plus side is that your shapes will not have a flattened side.

Ok, so here is my challenge:

Make a shaped card using your scraps!

Challenge submissions must be posted on the Pumpkin Spice Blog. I will be picking the winner from all the submissions for this challenge only. I cannot wait to see your creation!

Shop Pumpkin Spice has also given us a COUPON CODE for the store!!! She is having crazy sales - just click on the sale section! The coupon code for my post is: NSD4 for 10% off your order today!!! Click HERE to go to the store.

Here Comes... ~ SMS November Release

Hi There! Welcome to Luv Scrapping Together!

Today I have a Christmas tag featuring a sentiment from the newly released Scrappy Moms Stamps "Critter Crazy!" and "Christmas Cheer!"

I was going through all of my cards and deciding which I was going to keep and which I was going to throw away. This little dog from the Create-A Critter Cricut cartridge was on one of the cards I was going to throw away. So, I decided to recycle him!

I cut a circle and scallop from the Birthday Bash Cricut cartridge for my tag. As I mentioned, the little puppy was from Create-A-Critter Cricut cartridge. He didn't have a hat so I added one that I cut from an SVG called Nancy's Happy Holidays. I bought this last Christmas season from Lettering Delights. To the hat I used some Snow Writer and topped it with some very fine glitter and let it dry.

The cute little face is from Peachy Keen Stamps PK-757 Wide Eyed and Bushy Tailed Face Assortment. I topped his eyes and nosed off with some Ranger Glossy Accents. For his collar I tied some Martha Stewart twine and added a tiny bell.

"Here comes Santa Paws" is from Scrappy Moms Stamps newest release "Critter Crazy!"

On the back of the tag I stamped "For" and "Love" from the newly released "Christmas Cheer!" set.

Both these sets are in stock and ready to ship!

Head on over to Scrappy Moms Stamps to get yours and while your there check out all the other items that Scrappy Moms Stamps has available!

Until next time...
Happy Crafting!

Thankful for You ~ PKS Thankful Blog Hop

Hi Peachy Fans! Welcome to my blog!

The Peachy Keen Stamps designers, past and present, are together for the Peachy Keen Stamps "Thankful Blog Hop." We are all excited to share our "Thankful" projects using our Peachy Keen Stamps.

If you came here from Michelle's blog: Scrappin' with My Bug, then you are in the right place. If you just happened to be visiting my blog today then you are going to want to start from the beginning at the Peachy Keen Stamps Blog.

This is a long hop but you will have until Sunday, November 11th to visit each stop. That's 4 days of hopping! Believe me you are not going to want to miss a thing. You are also going to want to comment at each stop along the way because we have some Peachy prizes for some lucky commentors. You are not going to know on which blog the prizes will be hidden so make sure to leave a comment on each one.

Now onto my project...

For my project I created a wreath shaped card. I first welded 2 circles together using my Gypsy for the card base. I also cut a circle layer for the top. The paper for that is from the October Peachy Picks Kit.

I stamped the leaves from PKSC-09 September 2012 with distress inks and cut them out. From there I inked them some more, crinkled them, and inked them again. I used several Ranger Distress Inks to include: Aged Mahogany, Spiced Marmalade, Peeled Paint, Crushed Olive, Brushed Corduroy, and Vintage Photo.

Once everything was inked just the way I liked it I sprayed all my leaves with Glimmer Mist in Iridescent Gold.

After everything was dry I just layered all my leaves, found I needed to stamp some more, then continued layering.  I added a pretty bow made from crinkle ribbon and topped it with a button that came from the February Peachy Picks Kit. I inked the button with Vintage Photo Distress Ink.

The sentiment from PKSC-10 October 2012. I hand cut the banner and inked it.

This next photo is a shot from the side.

In this photo you can see all the beautiful shine from the Glimmer Mist.

All of the stamps used were from the Peachy Keen Stamp Club.

Here is how the club works:

This is a monthly recurring subscription.

Each month, you will receive one 8.5" x 11" stamp kit containing tons of mix and match elements for many occasions! No repeat images, each month is unique and original.

Be Happy ~ PKS November Sneak Peek #3

Well, I wanted to share another peek for you all just because I am loving this month's Peachy Keen Stamps release. These stamps may have become my new favorites, at least until next month! :)

For this card I used some of the add-on stamps that will be released with the November Kit of the Month.

The adorable little penguin come from PK-147 Skatin' By. I paper-pieced and colored him with Copic markers. I added some Star Dust Stickles to his cuffs. Isn't he just too cute!

I layered him on a circle and scallop circle that I cut from the Brithday Bash Cricut cartridge. It's very subtle and you may not see it in the picture but I stamped the circle with PK-107 Cloudy Day.

The sentiment and label are from the new PK-149 Snowman with Label set.

My papers used here are from the November Peachy Picks kit. They are just a perfect match for this month's stamp release.

You will be able to purchase all of the stamps tonight on the Peachy Keen Stamps store!

The layout I used is the current sketch challenge on the Peachy Keen Challenge Blog.

Hi Crafty Friends! Welcome to Luv Scrapping Together!

I made this card for Kathy's sketch challenge on the Peachy Keen Connection. I used the brand new Peachy Keen August Stamp of the Month, PKSC-08 August 2012 and the August Peachy Pick's Kit. The apple is from the August SOTM and the sentiment is from PK-07 July 2012.

Other items used:
Birthday Bash Cricut cartridge ~ scallop and circle
Fiscars edge punch
The Twinery Baker's Twine in Carribean
Button from my stash

Fishing with Daddy Layout ~ SMS May Release

Hi There! Welcome to Luv Scrapping Together!

Today I am sharing a layout with you that I created using some of the sentiments from Scrappy Moms Stamps newest release, "Picture Perfect."

I found these pictures of my youngest daughter and my husband a while back and knew I had to scrap them. They were taken 10 years ago when my daughter was only 6 years old. Has time ever flown!

I stamped one of the sentiments from Scrappy Moms Stamps, "Picture Perfect" set on the cloud. I can easily see this sentiment being used on a card.

The Remember this- and the line is also from this set.

I love the picture of my husband and daughter fishing together. It was taken from a distance so it was quite small. I decided to use a circle punch to crop it and then added a scalloped circle behind it.

That goofy face on my moose is from Peachy Keen Stamps The Cornies Face Assortment. I used 2 different stamps from the set to get the look I was after.

Here are some of the details:

Cricut cartridges used: Pooh Font (title), Campin' Critters ( moose and outside scene), Plantin Schoolbook (oval sky), Birthday Bash (scalloped circle)
Scrappy Moms Stamps "Picture Perfect" (sentiments)
Peachy Keen Stamps  PK-293 "The Cornies Face Assortment"

Patterened Papers:
My Mind's Eye "Twinkle Twinkle Little Girl" (orange background)
My Mind's Eye "Good Day Sunshine" (clouds and water)
Echo Park "A Walk in the Park" (all the greens)

Here is a look at the new Scrappy Moms Stamps "Picture Perfect."

These and so much more are available for purchase on the Scrappy Moms Blog.

Come back tomorrow for some Peachy Keen Inspiration.

Until then,
Happy Crafting!!
