PKS Inspiration

Hi There, Peachy Fans! Welcome to  Luv Scrapping Together!

Today I am sharing inspiration using her and on the Peachy Keen Blog.

For my project today,  I decided to make some mini greeting cards that are perfect for a little pick me up or to use as a gift tag.

These cards measure 3.25"x 3.25".

I cut a scalloped square and ran it through my Cuttlebug using the Swiss Dots embossing folder.

The fruit is from PK-239 Faceless Fruit. I paper-pieced each one.

Here is a close up each:

As you can see, I added ribbon or twine to each card. I made a total of eight cards, 2 of each design. My plan was to have a box finished for you but, as you all know, this is a busy time of year and time is like a vapor!

Visit my blog sometime and I may have a box for you in the future!

Thank you for stopping today!

Until next,
Happy Crafting!

The cupacke is from the Cricut Sweet Treats cartridge. I added some Ranger Glossy Accents to the heart and sprinkled it with some Martha Stewart coarse glitter.

If you are looking for the PKS and SVG Cutting Files Blog Hop click HERE.

Today I am featuring a card made with products that can be found at Shop Pumpkin Spice. This is also my inspiration card for the Pumpkin Spice Blog.

The challenge this week at Pumpkin Spice is Flowers. So I decided to create a shaped flower card.

I chose papers from Carta Bella's Traditions 6x6 paper pad. These papers are gorgeous!

I created the base of the card with the shadow cuts from Elegant Edges Cricut cartridge and welded them together. The layers are also from Elegant edges. I inked everything with Vintage Photo Distress Ink.

For the center I used my new circle dies that I wond from My Craft Spot. :)

I stamped the center with a sentiment and added this beautiful brad from Crate Paper's Pretty Party Eclectic Buttons.

I added some pop dots for dimension and I, now, have a beautiful card on hand to give to someone special!

If you haven't joined in the current Pumpkin Spice Challenge you still have time to link up!

ABC and 123 ~ PKS and SVG Cutting Files Blog Hop

Hi There! Welcome to Luv Scrapping Together!

Today Peachy Keen Stamps and SVG Cutting Files are teaming up for a blog hop. This is a 2 day hop and this is Day 1.

If you arrived her from Gwen's blog: This and That by Gwen, then you are in the right place. If you just happened upon my blog and want to start from the beginning then head on over to the Peachy Keen Stamps Blog.

The goal of this hop is to inspire you to use your Peachy Keen Stamps with SVG Cutting Files. There are so many files to choose from and boy, are they ever cute!

For my project I created a teacher's gift using the 3D Book Box SVG cutting file.

I combined the file with several Peachy Keen Stamps. I used PKSC-08 September 2012 for the cute little apple, face, and sentiment. The sentiment was heat embossed with white embossing powder to look like chalk.

On the side I used PKSC-09 September 2012 for the thank you sentiment.

I added some Twinery Baker's Twine to the front to create a bookmark and Trendy Twine for the bow on the apple. The brads are from my stash.

It's a little hard to see from the picture but I took a few strips of white cardstock and ran it through my paper crimper to give the look of pages.

The box opens up to reveal a chocolate treat but you could put a gift card or some other small gift inside.

All the paper used for theis box is from My Mind's Eye "School Daze" 6x6 paper pad.

Before you leave, I wanted to make you aware that there are TWO $35.00 gift certificates ( 1 from Peachy keen Stamps and 1 from SVG Cutting Files ) up for grabs for each day of the hop! (remember this is day 1) All you have to do to win is leave a comment on each blog along the hop.

Thank you for stopping today!

Now it's time to go see what Jaymie from This and That Scraps has for you today!

Until next time...

NSD hourly Challenge at Shop Pumpkin Spice!

Hi There! Welcome to Luv Scrapping Together and the Shop Pumpkin Spice May Blog Hop!

This month we are celebrating National Scrapbooking Day with a Challenge on Every Stop.

The twist.... Design Team members will be posting Hourly starting at 8 AM est.

The last challenge was posted on Lezlye's Blog: Lezlye's Ink and Paper Creations and the Pumpkin Spice Blog.  I have posted the whole blog list at end of this post so you can easily see what you may have missed so far.

Here is what I have created today. These are 2 shaped cards and I used scraps to create them.

For this card, I used Birthday Bash Cricut cartridge to create the base , the scallop, and the hat.

The base was cut from Bazzill Kraft cardstock. All of my scraps came from Echo Park's Paradise Beach 6x6 paper pad. This is a fun and colorful collection of beach and summer prints.

I added a brad from MME The Sweetest Thing Sunshine Brads and added some baker's twine in Blossom from The Twinery.

To finish my card off, I added some faux stitiching with my white gel pen and a ribbon from my stash.

Here you can see how this card folds open. The Cricut cartridge has this shape built right in.

For my second card, I started with the same Bazzill Kraft cardstock but this time I used 2 circles that I cut from Accent Essentials Cricut cartridge. In the picture below it shows how I attached them to create the base. The circle and starburst shape also came from Accent Essentials.

I cut the party hat from Simply Charmed Cricut cartridge.

My scraps for this card came form MME The Sweetest Thing "Tangarine" 6x6 pad. I LOVE the prints in the collection. They are just so pretty.

I made a pom pom from The Twinery Baker's Twine in Mandarin for some embellishment.

This sentiment is also from My Pink Stamper's Birthday Doodles set and stamped with MPS Darkest Night Ink.

To make a shaped card without using software to weld your images togetheris to cut 2 of the same shape. Score one of the shapes about 1 1/2 inches from the edge and just add adhesive to that part. It's very easy and the plus side is that your shapes will not have a flattened side.

Ok, so here is my challenge:

Make a shaped card using your scraps!

Challenge submissions must be posted on the Pumpkin Spice Blog. I will be picking the winner from all the submissions for this challenge only. I cannot wait to see your creation!

Shop Pumpkin Spice has also given us a COUPON CODE for the store!!! She is having crazy sales - just click on the sale section! The coupon code for my post is: NSD4 for 10% off your order today!!! Click HERE to go to the store.

Here is the line up for the NSD Celebration (the times listed in pst.)

Each NSD Challenge winner will receive the SPS Winner badge for their blog and a $20 Gift Certificate to Shop Pumpkin Spice.

Have fun today. The next challenge will be posted at 12 PM est. on Carissa's Blog: Happily Ever Paper Crafter and the Pumpkin Spice Blog.
