Top 'o the Mornin'

I know! It's well past morning today but I didn't have time to post this card before church this morning. :) Anyway, I know I have been MIA this week but it is all for a good reason which I will share after I show you this card.

I wanted to create a card for 2 challenges that I didn't want to miss. First here is my card:
This came together quite simply and rather quickly. I created this card for Emma's Throwback Thursday Challenge over at My Creative Time. The challenge was to create something for St. Patrick's Day. I, also, created this for Peachy Keen Stamps' Let's Face It Friday challenge. The challenge there was to add stitching and, as always, a PK face. Here is a close up of the my PK face!
I went with classic Peachy Keen!

Here is what I used:
Card size is 4.25 x 5.5
Cricut cartridges ~ A Child's Year - hat, Paper Doll Dress Up - shamrock
Peachy Keen Stamps ~ PK-490 Everyday Character Face Assortment
Scrappy Moms Stamps ~ Spring Fling
Stitching done on my sewing machine
White Gel Pen
Ribbon ~ Hobby Lobby
Green Gems

I wanted to share with you all the I am one of the designers being "Spotlighted" today over at Fantabulous Cricut Challenge Blog. It's a little strange spotlighting myself! :)

Now the reason I have been MIA is that I have been crafting all last week to get ready for this coming week.

PKS Guest Designer 2011

Yep! I am the featured guest designer this week on the Peachy Keen Stamps Blog! I am so excited to share all that I have created with my Peachy Keen Stamps. And! Guess what? Peachy Keen has given me some stamps to give away to one lucky winner.  You'll have to come back tomorrow to see what set I chose for the giveaway. They are the Peachiest!

I hope you all are enjoying your Sunday!

A Treemendous Card!

Happy Monday, Everyone! I hope it's beautiful and sunny where you are! It's time for another "Challenge Me Monday" over at Fantabulous Cricut Challenge Blog and today's challenge is to use a tree or tree branch somewhere in your project. I've been using my Cindy Loo cartridge a bit more lately and I saw the perfect cut for this challenge.
Here is what was used to create this card:
Cricut Cartridge ~ Cindy Loo
Gypsy ~ I welded 2 shadow cuts for my base
Cardstock ~ Recollections and DCWV Autumn Splendor
Cuttlebug ~ Swiss Dots embossing folder
Ranger Distress Ink ~ Brushed Corduroy
Sakura Gelly Roll Pen ~ White
Ribbon ~ Hobby Lobby
Pop Dots, Glue Dots, ATG

Now this partricular cut on Cindy Loo does not have layers so I cut it out several times so that I could have green leaves and pop the frame up from the rest of the card. I also cut out a seperate bird and all its layers.

Well that's it for today. I hope you will pop on over to Fantabulous Cricut Challenge Blog to see what my fellow designers have to inspire you with today. Join in the challenge, there is always great prizes to be won!

Happy Crafting!

Flaunt It Fridays ~ Twinkle Toes

Yay! It's Friday! That means it is time for a  new challenge over at Flaunt It Fridays. This week's challenge is to use any cut from the Twinkle Toes Cricut Lite Cartridge. I decided to use the piano cut from this cartridge. When I started on my project I had thought I would do a layout since both my daughters play piano. I even had the perfect patterned paper in mind. But as I started gathering supplies I realized that the paper I had planned on using was no longer a nice 12 x12 piece of patterned paper it was much smaller. So, I went from a layout to a card that would be perfect to give to a piano teacher.
Here is what I used:
Card size ~ 4.25 x 5.5 inches
Cricut Cartridge ~ Twinkle Toes Cricut Lite
Cardstock ~ All from my stash
My Craft Spot ~ Acorn Crinkle Ribbon
Ranger Distress Ink ~ Tea Dye, Brushed Corduroy
Martha Stewart Butterfly Punch
Pearls
Button
Hemp
Pop Dots, Glue Dots, ATG
