Gobble, Gobble! ~ PKS Challenge #44

Hi There! Welcome to Luv Scrapping Together!

This week Peachy Keen Stamps is doing a color challenge.

I created a card for you using the color pallete below:

I just had to use these beautiful colors for a Thanksgiving card.

I based the layout for this card from the curent Mojo Monday Sketch 267.

My papers are from an old K&Company mat stack by Tim Coffey. The scalloped edge is from Plantin SchoolBook Cricut cartridge. All of my embellishments are from the October Peachy Picks collection which, apparently, has sold out!

I used a sentiment from PK-141 Lil' Tweets Thanksgiving.

My turkey, hat, and inside sentiment are from PKSC-10 October 2012. I colored his body with Copic markers. For his feathers I used Ranger Distress inks in Aged Mahogany and Spiced Marmalade. I tried to use Milled Lavender for the purple feathers but it was just too light so I colored over them with my Copic marker. After inking them, I sprayed them with Glimmer Mist. In the photo you can see some of the splotches from the spray. I am not happy with it but in real life it is not as pronounced.  To complete my turkey I added some Glossy Accents to his eyes and highlighted him with a white gel pen.

Here are the challenge rules:

Create a project using the photo as inspiration. Interpret the photo ANY way you'd like, just be sure to let us in on your creative process!
We'll be awarding "TOP PEACH" to the player who uses their Peachy Keen Stamps this week and our two runner ups will receive a spiffy badge to display on their blog!
Guidelines:
- Design must be new
- Link up by 11/21 - 11:59 pm EST

I look forward to seeing all of your creations! You can link up on the Peachy Keen Challenge Blog.

I am entering this card in the following challenges:

such a pretty card Saundra, I love that turkey, I have to wait two another week and a half to get my hands on them, I can't wait, going crazy :) You did a great job incorporating all the colours in your main image as well, that's usually really hard to do, wtg!
Have a Happy Thanksgving Saundra!
