Happy Harvest ~ PKS October Release and Challenge

Hi there! Welcome to Luv Scrapping Together!

Today I wanted to share a card I created for Challenge #2 over at the Peachy Keen Connection.

The challenge is to use a Peachy Keen Stamps background stamp or to create your own background using your Peachy Keen Stamps.

I decided that this cute little squirrel from the newly released October Stamp of the month PKSC-10 would look perfectly on PK-133 Oak Leaves and Acorn background. My little squirrel was paper pieced. I added a bit of Ranger Glossy Accents to her eyes for some shine and a bit of chalk to her cheeks. The Acorn is also from PKSC-10.

I had a lot of fun with my background! I started with white cardstock and used distress inks to ink it all up with Aged Mahogany, Spiced Marmalade, and Crushed Olive. Over that I inked my background stamp with embossing ink, stamped it, and then added clear embossing powder. I used my heat gun to set the embossing powder. Once cooled I added Brushed Corduroy distress ink over the whole thing.

I cut the background shape that the squirrel is on from Lacy Labels Cricut Lite cartridge. My patterned paper and embellishments are from the October Peachy Picks Kit.

You have until 12:59 AM EST to link up over at the Peachy Keen Connection. For more information on the challenge click --> HERE
