Life's A Beach! ~ with Scrappy Moms Stamps

Hi Crafty Peeps! Welcome to Luv Scrapping Together!

It's time for a Terrific Tuesday Challenge at Scrappy Moms Stamps! This week's theme is all about the Beach. I took this theme literally and created a scene for you.

To create this card I used my Gypsy and Cricut Expression. As you can see the front is created with several images that were then welded to a square.

I used Life is A Beach Cricut cartridge for the umbrella, chair and sand pail. The beach ball and waves are from Paper Dolls for Everyday.

Everything is inked with Ranger Distress Ink in Tea Dye. I popped the top of the umbrella with some foam tape to give this card dimension.

For the inside of the card I used PK-107 Cloudy Day background stamp. It is very subtle so you will have to look very close.

My sentiment comes from a great summer time set by Scrappy Moms Stamps entitled "Sun Kissed." This set has all your summer time saying and is super fun.

We'd love to see you beach themed projects! Head on over to Scrappy Moms Stamps and check out what all the designers have created then link up your beachy project.

Have a great day, friends!

Until next time...

Just For Dad ~ Scrappy Moms Stamps TTC

Hi Everyone! Welcome to Luv Scrapping Together!

It's time for a new Terrific Tuesday Challenge at Scrappy Moms Stamps! The theme this week is "Father's Day."

I took the opportunity to create a card for my father-in-law. He has always been a handy guy so I knew this would be perfect for him.

I used the new Scrappy Moms Stamps "Alphabet Soup" along with the "Alphabet Die" and wood grain stamp. I masked off the numbers on the stamps because I wanted my pieces to look like wood instead of Scrabble pieces.

The tool belt and tools come from the Everyday Paper Dolls Cricut cartridge. I embossed my background with the Cuttlebug Diamond Plate embossing folder. I added some brads that I've had in my stash forever.

Check out Scrappy Moms Stamps to see what the other wonderfully talented girls have created for your inspiration. Join us! We would love to see what you create for Father's Day!

Until next time...
Happy Crafting!!

Hoopin' It Up! ~ SMS Sneak Peek #2

Hello Everyone! Welcome to Luv Scrapping Together!

Today I have the second peek for Scrappy Moms Stamps September release.

Here's a little close up of the cool designer paper I found at Hobby Lobby. I love the textured look of the basket ball and the weathered wood on the backboard of the basket ball hoop.

I kept this card kind of simple. To tell you the truth I just couldn't find a background paper that I was happy with. So I just inked up my Kraft cardstock and took it from there.

The sentiment comes from Scrappy Moms Stamps Game Day. It's great for all your sports related projects.

These stamps are in stock and ready for shipment. Just head over to Scrappy Moms Stamps and grab yourself a set!

Here are the details for my card:
Life's A Party Cricut Cartridge ~ basketball
Paper Dolls for Everyday ~ basketball hoop
Baker's Twine ~ purchased from Scrappy Moms Stamps :)
Ranger Distress Ink ~ Tea Dye
Misc. ~ eyelets, foam tape, atg

It's not too late to leave a comment on the Scrappy Moms Halloween Blog Hop. Just scroll down. I will be choose on random name and it will be put in a drawing with all the other names from the design team blogs to win a Scrappy Moms Stamps set of the winner's choice.

Today I have a fun little project that I made for Peachy Keen Stamps Let's Face It Friday Challenge. The challenge is to make a little something for a teacher and, as always, use a PK face.

Peachy Keen Stamps ~ PK-560 Dolly Dumplins; PK-642 Boy Mates
Scrappy Moms Stamps ~ "School Days"
Cardstock ~ Recollections; Echo Park "For The Record"

Sandra's Butterfly Birthday Blog Hop

Hello Crafters! Wecome to Luv Scraping Together!

Sandra from 365 Days of Cricut is celebrating her birthday this weekend with a Butterfly Birthday Blog Hop.  Happy, Happy Birthday, Sandra!! I am thrilled to be part of the celebration!
If you have arrived from Vivi at Vivi en Papel then you are in the right place. If you just happened along and want to start from the beginning click --HERE.

For our projects we were all asked to create something with a butterfly. I thought about it and decided since this was a birthday celebration that I wanted to make cupcake wrappers and toppers.

These were really easy to put together, especially when your daughter makes the cupcakes!

Here is what is needed:
Cupcakes
Life's A Party Cricut cartridge ~ For the wrapper, sized at approx. 1.5 inches. I used the hide contour feature on my Gyspy so that there would be no cutout.
Paper Dolls for Everyday ~ Butterfly, I used the hide contour feature to create a blackout for this butterfly
Echo Park cardstock ~ A Walk in the Park
Recollections cardstock
Lime Green Stickles
Ranger Distress Ink ~ Tea Dye
Misc. ~ foam tape, Scotch Quick dry glue, tooth picks, white gel pen

Before you go don't forget to leave a comment. Sandra is giving away to wonderful prizes. The first is a $20 gift card from Joann Fabrics.

The second prize is from Scrappy Moms Stamps. The new "Quirky Quotes."

You must leave a comment on every blog in the hop and on Sandra's Facebook page to win.

After you leave a comment head on over to see Bonnie from Pink bon bons. I'm sure she has something fabulous for you.

Thanks for stopping by and Happy Crafting!!

Cat's Meow

Hello, Everyone! I hope you all are well and having a fabulous day so far. I was out of town last week so I it seems I haven't posted in forever. I was visiting my family if Pennsylvania and had a wonderful time with them.

While my family and I were away we had a friend coming over to take care of our 2 kitties. My husband wanted me to make a card that was specifically from them. So that is what I tried to do. The kitties on my card were made to look somewhat like our kitties.

Since I needed to make this card I decided to throw in a few challenges, too. I'll list those at the end of the post.

Here are the details:
Wild Card for the base cut at 5 inches using blackout feature
Plantin SchoolBook for the circles
Everyday Paper Dolls for the kitties ~ I did some paper piecing for my black and white kitty
Tag was hand cut
Scrappy Moms Stamps ~ Amusing Animals for my sentiment
Peachy Keen Stamps ~ PK-754 Critter Faces Medium Set A
Cuttlebug Embossing folders ~ Swiss Dots for the base, D'Vine Swirls for the sky
Patterned Paper ~ My Mind's Eye Where the Heart Is
Ranger Distress ink ~ Tea Dye
Ranger Glossy Accents for the eyes and noses
Other ~ Baker's twine, button, foam tape, and ATG

I am entering this in:
My Creative Time Throwback Thursday Challenge : use Wild Card or Just Because Cards and embossing
Cricut 360 : make a Thank You card in a Circle shape

I have a few more cards to get to this week. I'll be posting more soon.

This project made the top 3!

Let's BBQ!

Good Morning, Everyone!

Welcome to Luv Scrapping Together. I am thrilled to be in BugBites first ever Bug Hop,
Grillin’ & Chillin’ Bug Hop!
To celebrate the beginning of summer, Barb over at BugBites is hosting two consecutive weekends of Bug Hops.

This weekend it is all about the Grillin’, May 28-30.

If you've come from visiting Larelyn at Handmade from My Heart, you're in the right place! If you've just happened across my blog and would like to play along with our Grillin’ & Chillin’ Bug Hop, click HERE to start from the beginning.

Each designer along the bug trail is featuring a project based on the Grillin’ & Chillin’ theme. What’s more exciting is you can participate too by creating a project and linking it up over at BugBites for a chance to win a Big Prize.

But, there’s a twist. Your project must included at least one Cricut cut and at least one of the critters that have been hidden within some of the bug stop blogs. Be sure to visit all the bug stops to find all your critter choices.

While you are looking for the critters, be sure to check out the blog candy that each designer has to offer you. You don't want to miss out on any of it!

For my project I have created a fun summer layout.

Isn't this the cutest! I am not much of a scrapbooker but lately I am just having such a good time putting layouts together! For this layout I used an SVG file called Panda Picnic Party. You can puchase this file HERE. I used Accent Essentials for my scalloped sqaure to create a sky.

I added a hidden tag under one of the photo mats. The letters for my title was cut from the Birthday Bash Cricut cartridge. I had intended to use the shadow feature for letters but realized that the shadow does not work right on this cartridge so I did some faux stitching instead.
Can you see the little weiners sizzling on the grill? For my butterfly I used Pooh and Friends Cricut cartridge. This is one of my favorite butterflies. There are some real hidden gems on this cartridge. You should check it out. I added a little stitching for a flight patterned effect. The "grass" comes from Everyday Paper Dolls Cricut cartridge but it really isn't the grass it is the sand! I used the hide contour feature on my Gypsy to hide all the little dips and grains of sand. I just liked the gentle curve and thought it made nice grass.
Here are a few more close up pics to see the detail.

I inked all my cuts with Ranger Distress Ink in Tea Dye and did a lot of faux stiching with my Sakura White Gelly Roll pen. I hope you liked it!

For my blog candy I am giving away a $10 Gift Certificate from one of my favorite on-line stores. Can you guess?

Yep! You got it! Peachy Keen Stamps is one of my absolute favorite stamp stores. I didn't use any on this project but if you look on my side bar you will see a label entitled "Peachy Keen Stamps." All my projects with a PKS is found there.

How you do win this, you ask?

Well that's easy! Just leave one comment under this post with a way for me to contact you if you win. You don't have to follow me but I I LOVE new friends. ;-)

You have until May 30th to leave a comment. I will use Random.org to choose a winner on May 31st.

Now get hoppin'!

Next stop… Amber’s blog, Amber’s Crafts and Stuff. See what she has in store for you today.
Remember, once you have hopped to all the bug stops, it's your turn to show us your Grillin’ & Chillin’ project.

Make sure to include a Cricut cut somewhere on your project, include one of the hidden critters and link up your project over at BugBites by Midnight CST May 30 to be eligible for the big prize.

Congratulations Graduate

Hi there, I told you I would have something else to post for you today. :) If you would like to see what I posted earlier just scroll down.

I wanted to participate in some challenges so I created a card that I will be giving to my son later this month. He will be graduating high school. I hope he doesn't think it is too juvenile but I really don't have many cartridges with cuts for an older graduate. Besides I got to do some fun things on this card and using Peachy Keen Faces always brings a smile.

I am entering this card into My Pink Stampers National Scrapbooking Challenges. This is for Challenge #9 Glitz, Glam, Glitter.

Another challenge that I am entering this in is Peachy Keen Stamps Let's Face It Challenge ~ Banner Up. Make a banner or use a banner on your project and as always for this particular challenge use a Peachy Keen Face stamp.

And the last challenge that I will be entering is over at My Craft Spot. This a Monday challenge and the challenge is to Bling It Up! If you haven't played in this challenge yet you should give it a try. Kimberly has great products that she is giving away not to mention that she sells the most gorgeous Crinkle Ribbon and so much more.

Now onto my card:

Just a bit of a close up! :)

Here is what I did:

Cricut Cartridges ~ Everyday Paper Doll Dress Up for the boy graduate, Birthday Bash for the banner
Peachy Keen Stamps ~ PK-450 Wide Eyed Kid Assortment
Rcollections Cardstock
Silver Embossing Powder ~ I heat embossed the background. I would consider this my bling or glitz
Studio G stamp for the background
Versa Marker ~ I used this to edge some of my cuts and also add 2011 to my banner so I could heat emboss with more of the silver embossing powder
Baker's Twine
White Gelly Roll Pen

That's it for now. I am going to see if I can get a few more projects done today. Hope to see you soon!

Happy Crafting!

Winter Warmies FCCB #42

Happy Monday Crafty Friends!

It's Monday so that means it's time for another Fantabulous Crciut "Challenge Me Monday!" Todays challenge is "Winter Warmies." Create something using things you would wear to keep you warm in the winter. For this challenge I created a shaped card.
Here is what I used to make this card:
Cricut Cartridges ~ Everyday Paper Dolls, Tags, Bags, Boxes, & More
Gypsy ~ the mittens from this cartridge come in pairs so the first thing I did was "hide" one of the mittens. Once that was done I copied the mitten I wanted to use and flipped it and welded the 2 together. I also cut 2 more mittens, one in white and one in blue. I glued the blue one on top of my welded base so that it would hide the fold. I then cut the bottom off the white mitten to create a white cuff.
Cardstock ~ from my stash
Cuttlebug ~ Houndstooth embossing folder
White Fun Flock ~  I used this on the whilte cuff
Martha Stewart Snowflake Punch
Martha Stewart Gem
Ribbon ~ Hobby Lobby
Sentiment ~ Computer generated

Head on over to the Fantabulous Cricut Challenge Blog to check out what the rest of the Fantabulous designers have created. I invite each one of you to participate in the challenge. Who knows! You could be the winner of the great prize this week!

Happy Crafting!

A Christmas Surprise!

I wanted to share this ornament I made for the Peachy Keen Let's Face It Challenge #4. The challenge is to make an ornament using Peachy Keen Faces.
(It's a rainy day here in NC so my pictures are not as bright as I'd like them to be.)
I am also submitting this to My Creative Time with Emma. The Throwback Thursday Challenge is a Christmas theme of our choice. Pink Cricut is also doing a giveaway for some Peachy Keen Stamps and all you have to do is submit a project using Peach Keen Stamps or Post It craft paper.
Here are the details:

Cricut Cartridges ~ Create A Critter ~ wagon and gift, Paper Dolls for Everyday ~ girl, clothing, gift, dog, and I think tree. The tree may have come from Paper Doll Dress Up. I used my Gypsy to weld all the shapes together for the base of my ornament and then I cut out all the layers.
Peachy Keen Stamps ~ PK-754 Critter Faces, PK-532 Simple Sallies (this is one of my new sets I ordered :)
Ranger Distress Ink ~ Tea Dye
White Gelly Roll Pen
Ranger Glossy Accents ~ I used this on the dogs eyes and nose, and on the red ribbon on the gift
Stickles ~ Stardust
Paper ~ various scraps from my scrap bin
Mini Lights ~ Hobby Lobby
Lots of glue dots and pop dots!
Star button from my stash

Thanks for stopping by.
